I had an great idea of That game modes That are usually introduced during an specific season in dota 2.
The gameplay of it is very similar to normal game, containing the same map and basics, the unique trully important difference would be about the creeps.
In This game mode you would have unique and soecialized creeps. For exemple how it would be done:
It would have two steps in the phase bafore the game beggining, the typiccal one where you choose your hero and after that it would have an extra time for each player choose hes own creep.
Each turn it would spawn a normal creep wave so will intead spawn a creep of each player,in total 5 creeps in the same wave( each one with its own traits).

Probbly each of these creeps would start with a litle difference of some of its atributes or of being rangedeira or melee.
So the main difference, would be given by upgrades made by players That could improve creep attributes, number of creeps spawned(remember That it starts with only one spawned) and giving it as well unique passives, making them all depending on what creep you choose at beggining of game.
This upgrades would be made by gold gained by the own creeps, which would be separated from yours as well as you being upgrades in different shop icon. The gold gained by creeps would be very similar to heroes, they would as well have an continuous gold gain as well as colaborating(assist) in a kill of a creep or hero( which would concede much more gold) although different from a hero it would need to be still alive to gain the gold from the assist.

About the creep types here are some ideas of the skin of them at least:

last diretide zombies (melee)

Last diretide ghosts ( althoutgh be ranged)

Spiders from broodmother or wraith night (melee)

Mud golems (melee)

Kobolds (melee)

The tipical melee and ranged creeps from normal games adjusted to This game mode

The urchin (melee). This is a new creature That hasnt been used yet in dota 2, it would be moreless an crawling red goblin with large ears.

For now that is all i tought of This game mode, if you want to add an creeps idea just post it here. ;)

Okay, let me say something....
IT'S A GREAT IDEA!! I love how we can personalize the creeps to give us a greater power of lane fighting even without actually using hero to push the lane! It would be really, really, great if it can actually get into a real game mode. VALVE PLZ!

Some suggestions: What about giving the creeps active ability upgrades? These skills will trigger with AI like how neutral creeps works, possibly based on current HP. This will make the creeps even more dynamic and fun to watch XD. Probably putting in passives that allows the heroes to overwrite the unit consciousness and controlling it directly when needed is fun lol

However, I don't think it will actually be in the game. Why?
1) For this to be interesting and works, Valve needs to make A LOT of new skins and concepts just for these creeps (and I'm talking about 30+ lots, without counting more advanced skills or probably, evolution!!!) and they are just too lazy to do so (not lazy, they just need to get at least all hero done first)
2) This will grant heroes that advantages from creeps by a HUGE advantage. Say there is a skill that passively grants damage block. BOOM! Devour!!! Doom immortal GG Valve please fix! This will make Chen, Enchantress and Doom a lot more powerful and hard to be balanced
3) Balancing problem (gold and exp bounty based on upgrades), this will make farming carries advantage differently and otherwise it won't be balanced by the power of each creep (imagine Spirit Bear has the same bounty as normal creeps)

Also, I couldn't help but notice that this is your very first post here, let me congratulate you in the name of dotafire community. Welcome!! Hope you lasts here and have a great time! Great idea for your first post :D

Yeah, This would really be a problem
About the first one even if valve picked every creep skin alwredy introduced to This game it would need at least 30 creep options to make the game dynamic and fun.
About the second one would be just restrict some heroes like in the previous ability draft.
And about the third one That would be the most complicated, because would need to put prices in creeps so that they gain 1 gold each second and that of the three lanes sonetimes any of them would gain the assist gold.



Now two Thing That you have not sited is That ranged heroes would have early game advantage to creeps.althought with some equilibraríeis could be colectes
