I was forced to lane an earthshaker mid a while ago.
Eventhough we got raped and lost i still went 17-3 on him, so it was kinda funny.
My Buildup was Treads->Shadow blade->BKB->daedalus

The average skill level in the game was pretty low though.

This is a great example how you dont have to go max damage and crits to carry.
Shaker still has great lockdown and with just more levels and stats you can do a lot of damage with enchant totem.
