Rician the Zau

Lore:
In a far off landmass, unknown to all of the world, there exists an academy for the greatest of all the sorcerers of the land. One of these such sorcerers was a child named Rician. He was a bright student, quickly mastering any spells that was presented before him. But one day, while studying in the library he stumbled upon one dusty old tome labeled "The Grand Zau." Curious, Rician opened the book and read through each of the the dusty pages. In these pages he learned of the 'Words of Power,' words that had the ability to alter space and time itself. Reading the book, Rician decided that these Words of Power were stronger than anything the academy could have hoped to teach. Because of this, he stripped himself of his sorcerer's robes and became a Zau, one who uses the Words of Power, instead. Rician left the academy that day, tome in hand, to venture out into the world. Eventually he reached the continent where there was much war and strife. It is unknown why he chose to fight for the Dire in the Great War. Perhaps because he wanted more power and would seize it by force. Perhaps because he sympathized with the other strange creatures in this new world. Or perhaps there is a deeper meaning, that can only be understood by the Zau...
