Invis heroes are useless when they are not invisible. The only real annoying ones are Clinkz and Weaver, and any competent initiator can usually just blink in, Orchid, and proceed to kill. Why else do you think BKB is often core on both of these heroes?

With things like Riki and BH, after you play a few more games it becomes painfully, painfully obvious where they are at any given time. Any two heroes can usually just pop down a sentry when you sense the hero around, and then CC him to death.

Counter to invis: game sense.

I'm extremely new to Dota 2. And the mobo genre in general for that matter.

But... I played a game yesterday and my team and my mate were all doing decently, except they had Rikki and he farmed the **** out of just one hero constantly (who was an idiot). But then we were also idiots for not really countering it early enough with sentries and effective ganking/baiting. Towards the later stages of the game Rikki had fed so much he was carrying the entire team, lvl 25, impossible to kill as his HP was ridiculously high by now (pinned back and being aggressively pushed we had not much of a chance by then). We lost.

tldr: I learnt a dota lesson from that game xD
