New player that needs help(Played Lol)

Hey,I recently began playing Dota 2.
Im having trouble to find a hero that suits me.
Could anyone help me?

I played anti-mage.
He seems strong at midlane,but i cant do anything with battle-mage when im behind.
Could anyone help me to find split-pusher heroes and items.



I like champions like nasus on league of legend.
or rengar with ravenous hydra.

Is there an item like ravenous hydra?

there is a item like ravenour hydra its called battlefury.

anti-mage is not a mid champion (you know ranged are usually mid and stuff..)

anti-mage is a carry (like vayne, darius, kha-zix etc).

split-push heroes are-tinker(godlike), kunnka , broodmother (lolz) etc.

battlefury is my fav item :).
Im playing phantom assasin,sven and sometimes Drow ranger.
This heroes can pretty much 1v2 and splitpush.

Nature Prophet is the best split pusher in the game right now because of his ability to teleport to any location and use his Treants(minions) to take down towers. He is best used for Jungling. Anti Mage is lane hero and is better with a support. If you want a mid lane hero, i suggest Pudge, Drow, or Sniper. Pudge can be a bit difficult because he is a melee but he has a nasty hook like Blitzcrank in LoL. He is a really good ganker too. He is the closest thing to Nasus in my opinion. For every hero killed, he gain strength. He is also pretty tanky. People in pub matches are always scared of him. Beware, if you suck with him, then people will turn on you in a instant. Pudge players always get raged at.

If you like rengar as a jungler, i suggest Lycan. he is really good at coming out of the jungle for ganks when he have his ult. Keep in mind your wolves should be number one priority since you can't jungle without them.
