The problem isn't that people don't want a concede option indeed. The problem is every person has a different opinion on when a game is 'CLEARLY already over'.

Agreed, what people aren't considering is that you opted to play a strategy game with 9 other people and you are equally wasting their time if they don't want to surrender and you just drop out of the game.

People complain about Dota2 not being as casual as League or other similar MOBAs, but if the game isn't casual enough for you, then don't play it. There are plenty of other games that have extremely similar gameplay but don't require as much dedication.

If they didn't want to surrender, they wouldn't vote to do so, now would they? It's not like a little 10 second timer and CANCEL BUTTON pops up in team games when someone types "gg", you genius.

As has been suggested, there will be a vote that could be either 4/5ths or unanimous to decide to concede the game. It will be a team decision.

It's easy to tell why there is no concede option. Look at this thread: there are 2 people arguing in favor of the concede option, while the rest of the community (including myself) are definitely against it

Even if you don't mount that comeback, killing the dudes fountain diving is hilarious. If you concede all the time **** gets bad, you'll never experience those epic comebacks. Remember one time w Drazy, we were getting crushed, 2 rax down, 1 mid tower left, and I managed to get off a 5 man black hole, while our sven picked up a rampage, scooped up the rapier the other teams kunnka dropped, and we counter pushed and won the game.
Dragg out a game to 70+min and defeat a fed medusa after we disarm and silence her, than I said good day with axe..you concede you miss out on a lot of awesome moments. It's part of dota
Step 1: Pick Bristleback
Step 2: type in all chat:"GL hf"
Step 3: solo offlane
Step 4: first blood triple kill solo vs trilane
Step 5: continue head butting keyboard
Step 6: don't care, Bristleback doesn't give a ****
Step 7: screenshot repeated: BB OP comments in all chat
Step 8: alternate games with Slark pick

Caveat: I look at the numerous games of HoN where someone wanted to concede, and we voted no win or lose, we fought back.
