The family in which Aylward had the fortune to be born was an old and noble one. Sadly, while the child sought the attention and affection of his elders, his family saw him only as a bargaining chip, something to be traded away in order to achieve renown and riches. His many siblings payed him no attention, as most of them were much older and took pleasure in the political games engaged in by their family, playing their parts well.

At the age of 14, Aylward was given away by his family, to become a ward in the royal house of the Kingdom, in order to secure his family the favor of the royal dynasty. There he met the King, and to Aylward's surprise, the figure sitting in the throne was that of a child, one younger than himself. Soon after Aylward found out that the King was in fact powerless, his royal uncle holding the kingdom firmly in his hands. The two boys became fast friends, with Aylward finding himself in the position of an elder for the first time in his life.

Soon after Aylward's coming of age, it became clear to him that the Uncle of the King had no intention of relinquishing his power in a few years, when the King was old enough to rule. The two young men ran as far as they could, with the royal armies chasing after them.

They ran for months, but it was obvious they could not outrun their pursuers, so finally the two young men took a stand in a town square. Surrounded by loyal townsfolk, the King and the Ward faced their adversaries. Many fell that day, but the battle turned, with the righteous anger of the young King empowering the men around him.

As the royal armies were retreating a stray arrow hit the King and pierced through his armor. The soldiers were given orders to only kill Aylward, but take the King alive, alas the arrow took the life of the young and rightful future monarch. Surrounded by bodies, he perished that day, with screams of regret echoing from the lungs of his best friend. The loss of someone so close imbued Aylward with a power to defy death with the power of his will, so he took to the battlefield, aiming to save as many lives as possible. But lest his enemies underestimate him...they would face his burning anger and feel it in their very souls.

This hero looks like a utility hero that can be useful in almost any situation, whether against an invisibility hero or not. It can also resurrect teammates, which is always good in any game.
