I always make this stupid mistake at the worst of time...

You see, as Radiant, when it's time to retreat, naturally I click on the bottom left corner of the screen, since that's the Radiant's base. Unfortunately, there has been one too many cases where I instead clicked on the top right corner of the minimap, thus making my hero take a U-turn when he should be GTFO of the scene, and getting slaughtered.

So what can I do? I was thinking if it's possible to hide the HUD until I want to see it, but that means I won't be able to see the minimap all the time (bad idea). Alternatively, I'm hoping there's some way to disable 'move to location clicked on minimap', although that will make things a tad more complicated with tp scrolls or general moving around (but I think it's worth it).

So... any suggestion? Please no 'learn to click better'; mistakes happen, I'm trying to prevent it from happening in the first place, in a foolproof way.

I also do that sometimes, it's nothing you can do besides paying more attention where you click.

There's a command you can use to delay your rightcklicks on the minimap with the command "dota_minimap_misclick_time" = "x". Fill dor example x with 99999 and you "disabled" the minimap because you will never wait so long. ;) Hopefully I helped you.

Instead of putting the value to 99999 you can just set it for 0.1 seconds, meaning you have to mouse over the minimap for .1 seconds before clicking on it does anything. You can set it for longer if you like, just so you can still use TPs or move to a place on the minimap. .1 works fine for me though.

This has plagued new Dota players since its inception. Sure it could be changed but old timers orthodox Dota fans would tell you that it stops being a problem after a few dozen games.
