What should i use to record

Hey there i need some help on what i should use to record gameplay from league of legends and upcoming dota2 i have a youtube channel that i really want to get up and going by starting to post gameplay. This recording device needs to also be able to record skype conversations while playing the game. Please get back to me ASAP because i really want to start to record some games etc.

I haven't messed with it much myself but, check out some of the streaming services, especially own3d.tv and justin.tv (or twitch.tv, which is basically justin.tv). They provide software and other assistance for streaming live, and they also provide features to save your streams as videos on your profile, which you can then send straight over to youtube.

Yes but can i edit those so i can take bits and pieces like kills and put them together, like say i put it into windows media player can i chomp it up?

FRAPS can record pretty much anything that runs as a video/game on your computer. It also records microphone input at the same time.

You can't take justin.tv streamed video, also streaming is SUUUUUUUUPER heavy on your CPU, if you're doing it just for youtube videos you probably won't want to use justin.tv
Fraps is also kind of cpu intensive but nowhere near the scale of streaming. It's saves individual video files onto your computer, but they're all uncompressed, so you'd need a video file editor of some kind such as Sony Vegas.

FRAPS also has a nice feature where if you hold the record button for a second or so, it will enter a recording cache state where it will constantly record a 30 second cache. So it can be used to prevent those moments where you think, "Man, I wish I recorded that." It prevents you from having to record every game and delete unnecessarily recordings.
