A week ago I'd never played a game like this before. I REALLY struggled to start with. Easiest character I've found? Keeper of the Light. Illuminate requires little skill to cast effectively, by mid-game you have no real mana worries and if you concentrate on health regen items you have little to worry about there either. It's not the right way to play the character, but at least you're of some use to your team and can learn the ropes from there (I understand maybe half the items now and KotL's other skills, where and when to use them).

I think I would suggest a newcomer to play Skeleton King
Cuz if it's the first time to play, he should play a hero with less active-skills, and also, needs to be tank so that he would not die if he is in bad position.
For CM, VS, Sniper, Lion, Lich, they all need to care their position when team fight, or they can be easily killed by nukes. And Lion, lich, they have 4 active skills, I don't think a Newcomer can get over it.

I never played Lina until recently and found her really easy. I also find Sniper to be really easy pointing and clicking.

SK isnt that easy due to his lack of mobility and most of the times you'll be kited to oblivion assuming you're not in the low bracket

Well, starters are normally in the low bracket, right? For me, skeleton king is still my best hero. The power of his ultimate combined with his high steroids and a tanky build will make enemies really fear you. skeleton king lategame combines great tankyness with great damage.

I had no problem starting with him, because I already know about last hitting from LoL.
The fast way to fast Skeleton King.

Cm is not a easy hero, she is one of the slowest and Sqhishyest.
For a hero to start off with you should pick someone like Axe or Bane.
Axe is tanky and can kill nearlly and one. Where as Bane is just Broken so he is easy. :)

Venomancer;

A somewhat large skillshot and fast projectile that is easy to land, an attack modifier passive, an ability that allows him and his laning partner vision and offensive/defensive ability. Then wrap it all up with a big shiny bow that requires one click and a very large area of effect.

A flexible hero that can be built multiple ways with easy straightforward skills.

Skeleton King. Just give him force staff instead of building a lifesteal item (Like Vlad's)

Gives him much needed mana, tool for escaping, tool for chasing.

Q, Right Click, OUTPLAYED!
