Hey everyone, first post here, after transferring to Dota2 from the other MOBA game (ahem ahem).

Anyway, I'm pretty new to the game (have like only 100 hrs on Steam clocked so far), and I'm 20-17. There are a ton of heroes that I've liked using so far (Kunkka is amazingly fun.)

I saw Clinkz and gave him a try in bot matches, but he is insanely squishy. Is he a bad hero, or is the squishiness usually countered by his damage output? Just wanted a general idea on what everyone thinks of him.

Clinkz is a good hero in pubs. With Strafe and Searing Arrows, his damage output is mind blowing. He is also very good at melting towers if he has someone else to tank it. But, he is very squishy and relatively easy to counter. I like him, but I'm not very good at him ;-;

I love Clinkz. Usually I try to time it so I can have his invis on until the last second. If your having trouble surviving buy a Bracer, its a cheap effective way to tank up a bit. Also I wouldn't consider any hero bad, some of them are just extremely difficult.

He is squishy, but since you'll kill targets fast, that won't be a problem as soon as you don't get ganked.

Use your Wind Walk, that makes you really mobile, you can walk around the map like a boss and pick up lonely victims with your damage!

Using ultimate on mobs with 1100 hp makes you more tanky than most of heroes on the map, until they get some items.

Three things are essential for playing Clinkz,

1. Don't break Wind Walk early. Unless you have a very good reason to, you should always have Wind Walk 3-5 seconds after you break it. This spell is Clinkz's solution to squishyness, so use it properly!

2. Use Death Pact on big jungle creeps whenever possible. 80% of 1100 is a lot of HP.

3. Get an orchid and hunt supports. This is basically your role all game. Even in teamfights, you should aim to silence/kill the supports first. It's ok if the enemy carries hit you a few times, but you don't want to get locked down with chain stuns.

He certainly is an unusual Hero, in my eyes. Incredible damage output with sub-par survival. I see him played as a kind of assassin Hero, waiting for a teamfight to break out, looping around the enemy team, and melting the faces off of anyone foolish enough to not build a blade-mail (Supports, mainly).

A good clinks will know when to be in teamfights and when to back door towers. If the enemy aren't on their toes with TPs, then you're doing it wrong.
