Aside from leveling up, is it purely based on luck?
Or do Kills, Assists, CKs, CDs, GPM, and XPM have something to do with the item drop rates?

nope, its absolutely random. thats why i get pissed when the feeder gets some rare wand whatnot xD

Atlas was saying how, when that Arcana item was released, that a feeder on the enemy team got one. xD

It might be me imagining things, but I'm 99% certain that people who do poorly in games seem to get items more. Maybe it's Valve's sneaky way of encouraging players to try again with a consolation prize.

lol. I get almost no rare items, no matter how good or bad I do. :(
