Hey I am wondering if anybody can help me. I have moved country so no longer have my big rig I played dota 2 on, now I have my older laptop. It crashes once the dota 2 load screen starts (the badge logo).

I am on a Toshiba Satellite Pro A300 (PSAGE9E).

Windows XP Business Version.
Intel Mobile Core Duo T5870
Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset

I think you should visit DotA 2's Official Forum where everyone posts bugs and others post fixes.

I think its your driver problem with the integrated graphics. I had the same problem. I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers for my graphics (i have the same chipsert but a dell latitude e4300). You should be able to find them on the toshiba website.

Ok I have tried that, interestingly the latest intel drivers are different to the latest toshiba drivers (IIRC the Toshiba ones are newer) - but perhaps dota2 is designed to support only the intel ones?

It gives me hope that you can run dota2 on this graphics card, I know it's not great - but hopefully I can find a fix then?!

I found mine off the dell support website. If you aren't sure where it is (my guess is the toshiba website) go to the intel forums and just post a question as to where the drivers for your model are. Your question should be answered in a day or 2. I'm not sure how smooth it will run though as the processor is only 2Ghz and integrated graphics uses processing power opposed to a graphics card being its own. When searching, make sure to have the exact model of your laptop.

This was a site I found but I'm not sure if it is safe or not. Your problem is definatly fixable though.
Try to contact the toshiba support.

You're better off backing up the needed items on the computer, and just find a reliable ripped version of Windows 7, a lot of games have issues with Vista and making the conversion will better you computer experience overall.
