Hello. I'm looking for someone, who might want to spent some time with me, teaching me how to be a better player. I'm rookie, but i'd like to learn how to play with Silencer corectly.
Best regards

Hi there,

I'm not sure if you're already getting help from someone for your Silencer playstyle.
But he used to be one of my favourite heros as well and I'd call myself an average player.

I could give you a few basic tips for his choices of items:

-Basically you want to have as much intelligence as you can get.To be on the road for that,I'd recommend 2 Null Talismans (those with +6 int) for the beginning + Power Treads (giving you raw int and attack speed,a good early combo).Null Talismans give you also nice stats overall, like more life.
-As starting items I buy 1 or 2 tangos and maybe 1-2 claritys, depending on how much I want to harass my lane opponents. But keep in mind that Silencer needs his farm in order to carry with his Glaives of Wisdom dmg.
-After you've gotten Null talismans and power treads (don't forget to carry always 1 TP scroll since in early-mid game you are most vulnerable and have no espace abilitys),start building Force Staff or Mekansm. It depens on your current game what to get first. If you find yourself being constantly on low hp,building Mekansm first might be a good choice.Force Staff on the other hand gives you your first real espace mechanism in addition to raw int and 3 life reg.
-After Force Staff and Mekansm, get your Scycthe of Vise. The sheep is good for catching up opponents, getting closer to fire off more Glaives of Wisdom, but also to escape from them.It also provides a sh*tload of int,a very good item.
-If your game isn't going so well and you find yourself feeding or your mates feeding the enemy team so that you almost get zero farm, you can get Rod of Atos instead. It gives you more life, int and a 4 sec slow for chasing/escaping.And it's easier to buy as it is built up by not so expensive items.

So,your early game items should consist of 2 Null Talismans and Power Treads.Your core items should be Force Staff,Mekansm and Scythe of Vise/Rod of Atos.

For his playstyle:
-Try to get your early points in Curse of the Silent and Last Word.It gives you good control over enemys and if they have low mana pools and/or expensive spells, then they will find theirselfs quickly being out of mana and suddenly low on health as well.Last Word is dealing some nice dmg early-mid game.Don't waste your spells though if you know that Mirana is going to use her cheap 20 mana jump or Batriders 20 mana (was it 20?) Napalm spell.Keep in mind that orb attacks like Drow's Frost Arrow or Clinkz Burning Arrow don't count as spells. They won't get off Curse of the Silent with those attacks!
-If you get heavy harass by the enemys, put one point into Glaives of Wisdom. If they harass you, harass back with it.Glaives cost only 15 mana and it will counterharass them pretty nice, giving you more space for last hitting. But don't waste your Glaives on creeps early to late game,or you will find yourself out of mana faster than you can say "Silence is gold-Oh sh*t"
-Don't forget that a good gank might be as useful as farming because the stolen intelligence from the enemy is permanent. But don't roam around,Silencer is no roamer or ganker!Just try to look for good oppourtunitys. If there isn't,try to go on with farming.
-Use your ultimate in big teamfights and try to see when their initiator is trying to being with his first spell.Like Tidehunter. When you see he is about to blink in and destroy your team,Global Silence him and he failed. It isn't easy though and I fail with it pretty often, not feeling like I'm doing it right.Guess I could need some more practice with it as well. You can also use your ultimate when you can save someone or even yourself with it.But only do it when you just know that the enemy's next spell will seal your mates' fate.If they will die anyway because they ran into 5 men, don't waste it.
-In late game, like when you have about 1100 mana or more, you can leave your Glaives of Wisdom on auto.
-A nice tip: Look at the enemy's mana. When they have no mana, they can't cast spells. When they can't cast spells, they will get the full dmg of Curse of the Silence and be constantly on 0 mana!Incredebly useful early game, giving the enemy no oppourtunity of bursting you down.

Well, those were a few basic tips and as I said,I'm an average player. This playstyle and choices of items work for me most of the times in pub games or when I play with my own friends.

Just keep in mind with Silencer that:
-You need farm
-You need at least one escape item
-You need int (which results from farming and ganking as you steal permantely int from enemys)
-Try to figure out when to use your silents in fights (Last Word and Global Silence)

I hope I could be a little bit of help and enjoy your Silencer!Remember:
Silence is golden.
:-)
