Well I'm back after many games and I just want to reiterate that the general consensus on how to play clinkz is extraordinarily bad.

The expectation is that you would rush to an orchid which costs a ton of money while you end up having the power that Drow naturally has with her silence.

I want people to have a different and better option and after hours of gameplay, I have found an alternative way to play clinkz that actually works.

Here is the build.

-Start by purchasing 2 rings of protection and NOTHING else.
-Put 1 point in to searing arrow, and then in to stats.

-Immediately purchase the 3 following items asap, Sages mask(Completes Basilus), Ring of Regen, Boots of Speed(Completes Boots of Tranquility).
-Only use level 1 searing arrow for last hits, all other points are put in to stats, then 1 in to strafe, then stats, then skele walk, then stats, then ulti, then stats, stats stats, 1 more in to strafe later.

-After basilus and BoT, get the poor man's shield with 2xboots of agil, and follow up ring of bas with ring of quila

-After Aquila, PmS, and BoT, grab the morbid mask.... but before making the MoM, atleast get a Ring of Healing from secret shop, and Cloak.

Ring of healing + Cloak, + Poor Man's Shield will allow you to use a mask of madness as soon as possible, if not upgrade to hood of defiance before MoM as well....

Turn off searing arrow and just use life leaching strafe.

So MoM will actually work on clinkz with out killing him as you will have good block against physical, and good resist against magic with cloak, or defience if you must.

At this point, all focus should be on agility + crit to get the most out of the life steal in an offensive fashion...

Or if nothing else, get strength glove items + blade mail instead.

Butterfly, Daedius are expensive as ****... blah blah.

what the hell is this..... you have zero damage. and mom wont work. any smart player will still destroy you. might work in a low, low level pub. but in a mid to high level as soon as you turn on mom every ****ing hero will jump on you. and you will die. also, when nukers see that you built magic protection, they will just make veil of discord or ethereal blade.

Request to lock thread on the grounds that the former thread and this one are not serious inquiries and are just mocking other users when faced with actual responses.

Complaining about buying Orchid on Clinkz to replicate Silence is like complaining Drow doesn't have invis and has to buy a Shadow Blade to get it.

Not convinced about the MoM either, lifesteal works well on some heroes, but Clinkz doesn't really have the HP pool to benefit fully, and it means losing the damage from Searing Arrows.

Except she doesn't need to disappear because her natural speed and cheap ability to slow people down make her, also, a natural escape.

If not MoM in this build then replace it with medallion and max searing arrow.

Still need HoD

So BoT, Ring of Bas. Poor Man's Shield, Medallion... then HoD, then MoM.

her natural speed? she has horrible movement speed. and those arrows dont stop a rhasta from disabling you for almost 4 seconds. she needs an escape mechanism. even if it is manta.

To me this build is trying to make the most out of the mid game. You are making a huge investment in early game items on a cary. You say get no skeleton walk early, what happens if you are fighting a double stun lane or an aggressive tri lane? Squishy Clinkz = dead Clinkz.

You say Datulause and Butterfly are too expensive to get. The fault might be with the player, as a cary I am to get 30 last hits by 5 min and 60 by 10 that is over 60% of the creeps. Of course this is works with free farm and you wont get free farm since you have no lane presence.

In my humble opinion there are not different heros but different roles. If this build works for you go ahead and use it but I recommend applying this approach to a hero with different skills, some one like Luna or Windrunner.
My lone druid starting items are 12 Iron wood branches, 6 for the hero and 6 for the bear. Even if the bear does not get stats more twigs are OP on any hero.

Yeah, i really hold off on skele walk as long as possible because Boots of Tranq are fast enough early game to run from most situations while simultaneously healing.

I really think that for an extremely long amount of time, up until mid/late game, a combination of

-Medallion, MoM, and Desolator is what i use on my bottom row

The negative to their armor makes searing arrow better, plus the high attack speed from MoM puts out at much searing effect as possible when they have less armor...

On my top row, I use

-Ring of Aquila, Hood of Defiance, and Ring of Perseverence

Eventually switching out ring of aquila for a Skull basher for bash...

just got to get good at Marking them with medallion and then using the combination high speed from MoM and strafe to actually have a great chance to stun...

Other then that, yeah, I only ever have 2 points max in strafe...

1 point skele walk...

6 seconds is all needed for strafe in battle... rest of points need for stats.

Max searing arrow works for this build.

Oh I fogot about my boots... on top row...

eventually switch out ring of aquila for ring of perseverence or skull basher.

I also want to say, that even though the build above works...

I think it could be worth it to rush a dagon after having got the Tranq Boots and Ring of basilus...

Clinkz is a fast farmer, and Dogon just gets progressively better, so if gotten on him it would almost have to be rushed in order to start upgrading it asap...

I think that, when considering what the best chars dagon could be good on, you have to consider the best farmers...

How can clinkz not be considered for it when last hits are his game?
