gj, I like it.
You already pointed out, that backtrack is not an evasion, thus Monkey King Bar does not work against it :)

I may be wrong here as I have not tested it or watched any videos on it but Monkey King Bar says that it prevents your attacks from missing not that it counters evasion, surely then backtrack will also be countered by Monkey King Bar as if an attack is dodged it still should count as a miss. What worries me though is that when backtrack is procced it does not display a message saying miss.

Also if backtrack is not countered by Monkey King Bar why have the developers chosen to do this?

The attacks that Void backtracks do not miss, just that before that damage is dealt he is healed for the same exact amount, in the end equaling as 0 damage taken.

At least that's how it worked in dota1, mkb only negates evasion not pre-heals
Even a warped mind can see the odds stacked against it!

Exactly, it's not a typical evasion but rather post hit damage ignore. Kind of like Templar Assasin has refraction. She isn't dodging anything but the damage, no matter the ammount, is absorbed.
