With the advancements of computers and gaming, DotA is understandably outdated and looks fairly ****py compared to current games like LoL and [not so much] HoN. If they updated the graphics and improve the mechanics to make it not so jerky, I will forever love this game. If, however, it remains rough like DotA, I will be a sad panda. Sure, last hitting and stuff is really easy in LoL, but it is more enjoyable. DotA last hitting was a nightmare, compounded if you weren't ranged.

The graphics should also be improved drastically. It can keep its darker color tones, like the old one. That part I don't mind. But it needs to look like its own game now. Not like a user-mod to an ACTUAL rts game. And knowing valve, I expect some of the best improvements.

Unfortunately I'm staying at a place for the week where uploading and streaming videos is a nightmare, so i'll have to suck it up till next week to watch The International, but my hopes are high for this game. -fingers crossed-

There are various screen footage leaks released here to give you an idea on what the game generally looks like.

It is very easy now to distinguish certain heroes from terrain, effects are clear as now you can use dark colours without them blending too much in.

Without the limitations of the WC3 engine, they've really fine tuned it to exactly what people wanted DotA1 to look like.

Yep, the WC3 engine (**** PATHING HOLY ****ING **** **** THE PATHING IN THAT GAME) suuuper bottlenecked potential for graphics (pretty damn old game) so releases like HoN and LoL came out (both have their individual flares, yadda yadda).

From what I see on the stream the game looks pretty damn amazing. Graphics are very very nice

Well if I'm honest I don't mind the graphics I'm more into the gameplay and competition

I hope the actual game mechanics are smoother than DotA1 cuz I'm a pretty decent MOBA player, but DotA is about as smooth as petting a porcupine from back to front = i fail.

No dobut many things that WC3 had wrong will be fixed in this engine. If they don't fix it to at least somewhere near League of Legends pathing (although at times that can be frustrating as hell, too) they will have ruined their game >.>

Honestly, RoTT looks like all the other games that never make it in. (MIA, WoT, LoZ, etc) The graphics are dated, and you already have games with way larger fanbases out for years. I just don't see it becoming very famous, I've personally never heard of it until I registered here.
