I was wondering what could i had done in those 2000 hours of playing Dota 2. But i realised, this is not just another game that you install and delete few days later. This game is full of strategies and diversity. Items are so diverse and so unique, especially in coparation with Smite and LoL. You always have to learn stuff in this game if you want to get pro. And also the RAGE is so often like in real life. In Dota you are put in REAL LIFE situations.

In dota i learn that you CAN'T only just farm because you have to help the team and also it gets boring, you can't just work just for money because it gets tiring and frustrating. I learned that team work is better if you care for others not just you. How satisfying was that time when you saved your teammate with meka ?
I learned that people are very tenacious if you trigger them AND sometimes loses are the biggest victories.

What did you learned from dota that can be applied in real life ?
And if is so practical would you like your child to play this game?

Oh, interesting thread! I've learned that you can see some part of a person's personality through the way she behaves in-game; how gentle, forgiving, complainy, selfish, analytical, cold blooded or hot headed someone can be. If you play with people that you trust, you can also ask them what their view is on you, and you will see this is true.

I've also learned that you can never say never indeed :)

I would like my children to play all sorts of games, including this one, because you will be a more interesting person if you see and experiment the highest number of possibilities. Children tend to get addicted and they cannot control their time properly though, so I will keep an eye out and a strong hand for that if I ever have some ;)

Jani you never know when you can use some russian skills!
