Ramza the Polymath

Introduction

Hi all!

I haven't posted a hero idea in a while, and honestly, I've been holding this one idea back. This one particular idea is my favourite idea, by far (not exactly the most balanced though). Say, do you like RPG games? I love them, even if I don't have too much time to play them now, but I remember when I binge-played Final Fantasy back in the yonder days. One of the main things in classic (MMO)RPG is definitely Job System, and this hero is based on that. Now, now, before you call me stupid or it doesn't work in dota, please spare me your attention, yeah?

Ramza the Polymath is designed to be an absurdly complex hero that is seriously simple to play. I mean complex in the sense that this hero can have up to TEN different playstyle and skill set. So how does it work? Ramza has two tier 1 paths (taken from spawn), 4 tier 2 paths (upgraded at level 8), and 4 tier 3 paths (upgraded at level 18).

Each of these paths has distinct playstyle and usability, making him the most versatile hero in the game. Because of this, Ramza is designed to be complex in the mind game, the kind of "what would he choose to play as?", kind of like playing really versatile heroes that can be both played support or carry.

This does mean that Ramza's potential is stupidly high, but he is not without weakness, because of how his skill system work, he is very 'one dimensional', meaning that he can do one thing and one thing only in every moment. Also, he needs to get those levels really fast, since the impact of higher tier paths hugely outclass the previous tiers, especially since he can only get his 'ultimate' at level 18.

Due to this 'heavy penalty' that box Ramza into single playstyle (even with diverse possibilities), he is also rewarded with a lot of really, really strong skills, especially one at the higher tiers.

I really can continue on the finer details, but even now I think I've talked too much, so just enjoy yourself (and note that this hero is broken) and kindly give me feedback! :D

Lore

“O’ harken this old fool, harken!
For when the sun hath thrice dozen darken
One amongst thou bourn an anomaly he shall
For this globe verily, hast then enthrall

Hunt ye must, for tender he shall be
To whatever gods may be, pray of we
For he cometh with a shield and a sword
He, a serpent, yea, his tongue flex as cord

On his steed, valiant, unstopped he shall ride
A single lance he himself arms, bring he genocide
For he beyond man shall be, and not is he the only one
Yet shall be with him many, each wound be gone

Of holy prowess shall his parlance slither
Thus, bring he himself army of his thither
War he champions as could none other
Vile reversals within he, own world wither!”

The bard ended his song with a bow, the song of prophecy sang since age unknown. Over the millennia, the song has lost its meaning, but never has the song be more relevant as it is.

For the sun has darkened fully thirty-six times.

Ramza the Polymath is born.

You shouldn't really call them jobs though, that's my only negative.

Well using "jobs" does sound rather off with the lore and all, yeah
Say, what do you suggest wulfy? I mean, what else would you call it?

I'd call them Ascendancies if it didn't completely plagiarise Path of Exile :D

Otherwise...
