I never played any of the tutorials. I enjoyed sucking for the next 100 games with player who sucked as well.
But really. People should play dota as they like.
Some start by being extremely tryhard and some enjoy having tons of fun.
A slow start can't hurt in dota as dota is pretty hard to learn.

Yea bloodseeker is a hero that relies on snowballing which is a mechanic(I'm probably wrong)where when you get a kill you gain a lead in gold and xp and you use that lead to gain even more of a lead in gold,xp,and kills and eventually your team gets so much of a lead that the enemies are to farm behind to catch up and you become very powerful in Farm.

I'm terrible at explaining things so don't be to harsh on my terrible explanation

That explanation is pretty accurate although I think snowballing is pretty self explanatory.
As you can Magfire we dotafire people enjoy to talk a lot. So if any question comes to your mind - as dumb as it may seem. Feel free to ask.

Easy Carries:
Wraith King
Ursa
Night Stalker

Push Towers When:
a. You know your enemies are in other lanes so you will be unobstructed and safe from being ganked
b. You have much of you team with you and are ready to teamfight (spells/items off cooldown, close to full HP/mana)

Courier:
You can purchase items anytime from anywhere on the map, and they will be carried around by the courier. If you call the courier to you, it will bring your purchased items to you from base. It can be killed so be careful enemies are not around when using it. It can be upgraded a bit into the game to make it faster and able to pass over terrain (i.e wont have to walk around trees, hills, etc). If you want an item from the secret shop you must send the courier to the SS manually.

I play both League and VG, be warned that Dota 2 requires a much higher level of skill, experience, and awareness in order to be decent. While you said you dont support, I highly recommend playing the support position for the first 50 hours of gameplay or so just to learn the mechanics without having to worry to much about making calls to try and lead your team to victory.

Good Luck,
Blubbles
