I struggle with carrying. Maybe it's because I'm impatient, maybe it's because my supports insist on stealing farm or maybe its the 4v5 scenarios caused by an afk jungler. Anyone have carry recommendations? Preferrably ones that don't require 30-40 minutes of farm in order to be impactful?

Pick carries that can have an impact without much farm. If your opponents are bad, Slark is a fantastic example, since the enemy team needs to coordinate stuns to really lock down a slark. Once you have your Shadow Blade, you can endless feed on the enemy supports if they haven't warded extensively. However, the downside to Slark is that, your early game is ****. **** lane presence, **** last hitting animation, **** in terms of dealing with aggressive offlaners.

Another example is Clinkz. You can roam really early, and with your Searing Arrows + Strafe, kill pretty much any hero early on.

Ursa is a great early-game focused core too. Pubs generally tend to fear the bear more than they perhaps should. Just go brown boots into Mask of Death into Blink dagger. At this point, you can pretty much kill anyone you catch alone.

Don't pick hard carries like Anti-Mage or Spectre that can't do anything early game, if your supports don't know what they are doing.

Also bkb does a lot against her. It doesn't stop the ult but it stops the slow, eul, crypt swarm etc.

Except Spirit Siphon fully pierces BKB. That's some OSFrog stuff right there :)

BKB only blocks the silence, and there are better ways to deal with silences anyways : manta, euls, lotus etc. And she'll be using euls on herself, not on you.

Thing about DP is, there's no universal counter. Ganking, sure, but that's how you counter every mid hero ever. Besides she'll just walk away with a double kill thanks to siphon.

Physical damage, armor reduction, abusing her Euls as a free setup (e.g with Pudge hook, or Invoker), Blade Mail, counter-initiation (Centaur, Omni, Naga...) and/or straight up magic burst is the best way to go IMO. Anything that messes up her positioning (e.g Venge, Bat, Ebola) is also really good.

Or pick Bambi and snipe her from afar :)

In this patch :

Weaver
Spectre
Ember Spirit
Clinkz
Sven
Chaos Knight
Slark
Wraith King
Lone Druid
Riki
Morphling
outworld devourer

All these guys are good enough in lane to put up with useless supports and 1v2 lanes if needed*, can fight effectively in the mid-game if necessary, and scale well enough into late game to carry feeding teams on their own at that point.

* Spec can't put up with bad supports directly but she can come back from bad lanes and/or jungle early with W so it's the same. And fights every ult cooldown starting at 6 minutes, so she doesn't require a lot of farm to be useful.
