So I am playing Pugna lately and somehow all of my latest games are comebacks, when I turn out to be on the winning team.

This is my last game: http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/2146739292

Boy, oh boy, was it frustrating... We started rather poorly, I made some mistakes, my teammates too. We couldn't communicate. I wanted to be agrresive, I encouraged my team through mic to chase them, I noticed their movement, but seconds later I found myself alone vs. 4 enemy heroes. We really couldn't establish a leadership and our strategy.

Then all seemed to look better. We worked together and we kept winning fights or breaking even. It was quite a war, with tons of buybacks and turning points. Hype caster would love to cast such a game.

Anyway, we were almost certain that we got this in the bag, but we are not stupid so we went for Rosh to get that sweet Aegis. Unfortunately, our Anti-Mage would rather farm alone. He was caught by smoked Bane and Ember Spirit. It is worth mentioning that Anti-Mage just bought a fresh Divine Rapier. It is also worth mentioning that Anti-Mage did not have buyback available at the time.

We lost. The guy playing AM was kinda cheeky from the start. He was that whiny type who will not acknowledge any support, buying wards, creating space. Nothing. He was just whining, ping spamming on most of our deaths. He didn't join our fights and he didn't even push that much when he had a chance.

But there is something worse. When we were asking why would he buy Rapier and then lose it in such a stupid way, he told us:

"u have no idea why I bought this item, you dont understand the game".

Then he checked our MMR, and it was funny for him that we had 3,6k MMR, while he had 4,2k. In his opinion, we couldn't tell him any advice because we had lower MMR. That was his ONLY argument in our (I'd say polite from other teammates) discussion.

He felt that losing Rapier and dying without buyback when we had the game basically in the bag wasn't his fault, because he had higher MMR than us.

Well. The humanity. For me it is just a gamble if I will have to mute some or more playrs after a minute or if we are having a great time.
And I think we all know that mmr doesn't mean that much (unless you are 0k or 5k).

The contrary has been proven thousands of times. There are only 3 MMR ranges where MMR doesn't reflect the actual skill of the player more often than not. That's sub-1k bracket, 4k bracket and 8k+ "bracket".

In other cases 90%+ of the players are where they belong +/- 500 pts(not counting calibrated smurfs, ppl who play rarely and throwers/babyragers who can't win because of their attitude).

I guess carries throw games because they get overconfident. Like nothing to do about that.

btw I often have to explain to someone who is 1000 mmr higher which items do stack with each other because he is too stupid to understand unique attack modifiers.

What the anti mage did is in terms a "Fallace". He generalizes that having a higher MMR means better in the game so he used a so called "Ad Hominem" and said that you aren't right because you are just a low mmr scrub. Ofcourse this is ******** but people use them all the time those fallacies.
Any man can make mistakes, but only an idiot persists in it.

And still every dota player flames someone else instead of himself.

I completely agree with the Refresher Orb pickup on Anti-Mage. That's a brilliant item that conveys a critical message. **** magic, and down with OSFrog wizards.
