Orbs are like buffs you can't have more than one orb

Well... no. It is basically a unique buff on some items that doesn't stack with itself, but you can still have more than one item with an "orb effect". Really, orb effect was only a warcraft 3 term, for instance, "Orb of Venom" is an orb by name but doesn't have an orb effect. Kind of confusing, see here: http://www.playdota.com/mechanics/Orb_Effects

I get that you can't have two say Orb A effects but can you have an Orb A effect and Orb B effect?

Yes. For instance if the orb effect was crit chance, a different orb that gave crit chance would not stack. However an orb effect with crit, and another with a chance to stun can go together.

Sven, Skeleton King, and Axe all seem pretty easy to pick up in comparison to the other heroes. I think it's really based on what you're good at, though. For instance, I'm really good at ganker heroes but pretty mediocre at laning carries. I'd consider Anti-Mage to be a relatively easy champion to play, but I'd see Drow Ranger as more of a challenge.
