Poll Question:

Are you ready for the move to reborn?
Yes, I regularly play on Reborn already
I haven't played much Reborn, but with the new patches, I'm ready to switch over
I don't know much about the differences between Reborn and Source 1, so I'm not too sure
I don't care either way, I can play on either
I don't think Reborn is ready yet, I'd rather play on Source 1 for now
I can't play on Reborn, I can only play on Source 1
Other? (leave comment)

The poll pretty much says it all, are you ready to play the regular bi-weekly (usually) CM Inhouse on Reborn next weekend, would you rather stay on Source 1, or do you just not know and / or care?

If you don't know / care or are ready but haven't played on Reborn much (<- yep, I voted for this one 8{3 ), I'd suggest getting set up this weekend ready for Inhouse. Make sure you have all your settings from Source 1 set up in Reborn as well (they don't carry over automatically). It's also the perfect time to tinker around with custom settings, e.g. HP Bars lengths and colors, mini-map icon settings, force right-click on allies, etc.

Hmm...after tinkering with the console, it looks like a lot of the variable names have changed, r.g. dota_disable_rangefinder "0" is now dota_enable_rangefinder "1". I might do a guide on setting this up. <}3

To be honest? I don't even see the difference. Is there even a difference between the two? :)

Only thing I see is a different main menu and a bit of eye candy, that's it.

The only thing that matters to me is the custom games but my favorite mod (Fight or Flight) isn't even ported yet, the new Legends of Dota has horribly imbalanced options that make it kind of unplayable...and I've never seen the point of minigame mods like dota strikers over playing FIFA or something. Dota imba mod is kind of fun though.

I have no idea how to use this stuff.
I want that force right click so much but I am too dumb.

Since it's on Source 2 it's supposed to run better (Zaop cried...manly tears at having better graphics while now being able to open Youtube in another Tab 8{3 ). The only issue is there are still a few bugs kicking around, you occasionally see things you shouldn't (although I've had that happen in source 1 not too long ago) and some interactions may still need fixing (pretty sure most if not all have been fixed though).

Personally, I could already run Source 1 at 60 fps, so I don't see a difference in performance, but Reborn does suit lower spec PCs, provided they have enough disk space for it.

It comes down to nicer graphics + better performance vs. bugs

The bugs will be removed eventually though. <}3

Yeah, they moved a few things to settings and took out a lot of variables, the only major concern I have with Reborn. I hate the new FPS counter...volvo, giff netgraph back!!! T-T

You can still use netgraph.
