Similar to some other threads here I believe, here's a match I just played with mid Tinker. I tried to relentlessly push the lanes but it felt like my teammates just couldn't hold up to their own pushing power (which was fairly strong with Tiny and Lycan).
As far as I can tell, I should have probably participated in teamfights more. Not bothering to upgrade Dagon was a mistake as well, and Scythe came too late.
Any criticism regarding this match, as well as general tips on how to teamfight with Tinker will be appreciated (like if they have 5 right clickers, who do I laser/Scythe?)
Well the Nyx pick was a terrible idea. I mean with 5 really tanky heroes who would he gank? In that situation I would have recommended you hex the tiny to try and stop him from blade mailing and dispelling laser, and then laser Sven to block his go strength enhanced attacks. I noticed that you went for a more nuking oriented tinker build instead of a push oriented build. Against that tanky a lineup it probably would have been better to focus more on pushing than nuking. Also try to avoid playing tinker or np against a spirit breaker. He can counter your pushing by charging out and killing you every time you try to rat.
there is no point trying to go for burst into such tanky carry orientated lineups, your team already has plenty of damage with PA and Windranger, this would have been a great game to go euls or sheep straight after blink and from there you can build into shivas and linkens. with the control given by the euls and sheep stick you can easily kite down the enemy carries for your carries to kill, you may want to go into bloodstone after euls and sheep in order to stay with them and continue to sheep them, however this is only a good choice if you and your team end up snowballing if the kills you get with the sheep/euls or else you will end up with no charges anyway and no ability to find farm and get other items.
In addition a ghost scepter would probably have been a good choice again spirit breaker as if he charges you you can wait for it to hit then just ghost scepter and tp out, of course with euls you can also euls then blink out and tp away.
Either way dagon was a terrible decision, dagon doesn't need to be upgraded more. Nor is there any point in split pushing really in that game, your never going to outpush lycan and tiny, your best bet would be controlling team fights well and then pushing with your team off the victory.
