Really want VP.Polar to make it. I really enjoy their play.

I'm pretty sure Na'Vi will get an invite. Dendi is still the most recognizable Dota player worldwide - they'll want him there for sure, and while Na'Vi hasn't been playing great, who cares, it's not like Valve has a mandatory set of rules for who gets invited.

well its also not like they just invite a team because they are popular.
sure if navi starts kicking *** with artstyle there will be some chance they will be invited, but if it doesnt work out then no chance.

Obviously not, but I think as long as it is somewhat justifiable to invite Na'Vi (which, despite their mediocre season, it is), they'll do it.

and im saying that makes no sense =D

they are not going to invite an unstable team that just changed their roster again after many failed changes over something like empire or Nip if they keep playing this well.
they have to seriously perform in ESL, if they even qualify, because they failed to qualify for most tournaments.

The issue is, this is essentially the world cup of DOTA. It should be based around which team is or does best. And the direct invites are a way of rewarding teams for performing better than all the others as it was, or proving that they are the best. There should definately be a sense of professionalism about the team invites, and not pandering to the crowd as it were.

If a team that clearly has a lot of other that surpass them in terms of performance, and then gets a direct invite in there place, it's an injustice to those teams.

Na'Vi haven't performed consistently well in a very long time, even if they've been improving now with artstyle being back, if they want to prove that they deserve to be at TI, they should do it through the bracket. Because there are far to many European teams that have been performing more consistently, and arguably better than Na'Vi has.

Since you just can't have enough Chaos Breaker.

I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying that if I had this game that I wanted to promote, and I had this huge event into which I put a lot of money, and I had this one guy everyone knows and loves, AND I had the power to make sure that he attends aforementioned event, I'd see to it that he does. But then, maybe I'm just a cynic. ;)

well apart from really diehard navi fans i doubt that anyone wants one player over a full team that is doing better.
and its not like its a tournament with much player/fans interaction like the summit, its insanely crowded and the tickets are also sold before the teams are announced.

im not completely ruling navi out, but they dont really have a chance to really prove themselves, since the invites will probably before they have any chance to participate in a LAN.
