It feels kinda dumb to even have to comment on this (surely most Dotafire members know it already?), but for some reasons I've been seeing lots of 's who seem hell bent on farming rather than ganking...

Don't get me wrong, you can farm during the day, but it's incredible watching people trying to farm up a during the first night by hitting creeps. Semi-carry heroes are all about getting gold and experience by KILLING HEROES and PUSHING TOWERS - in fact, if you're successful you can get far more this way than you ever could from hitting creeps.

The other big issue is the effect this has on the enemy team - DOTA isn't just about gaining gold and experience for your own team, it's about stopping the opposition from getting it. The total amount of gold/xp you gather is far less important than the GAP between your team and opposition.

when i use NS, i will go to mid if given..i go for early bottle..dominate the rune still i lose the game even i have like 15/2/* . Still its a team effort..even if NS is good but the other 4 are dumb, its a lose

Oh well,I was talking about general stuff,but this is a particular thing.If he did the things he said(which he did,I saw the link),then shame on him.Not to mention the thing that he build vlads as the first item(its just a deduction).

Absolutely, there's no harm in getting farm when there's nothing on - but this is a game where the opposition were playing a solo and a jungling , both should be reasonably easy targets for . He ended up 3/6/12, while I ended up 7/6/13 as a supporting hard lane Necrolyte - NS is a great semi-carry, but he allowed their prophet to get absolutely huge and dominate the game, all for the sake of a few ganks..!

The point is that many think that they are a hard carry,and its not necesarelly their fault,as it is the meta's.As in the current meta,games end before the 35:00 min mark,and people belive that snagging every piece of gold possible is beneficial,with all heroes(yes,semi-carries too).

Probably,and most surely,the meta indicates that semi-carries are usually the right-clickers in these short games( in your example),and they take their time in making sure that they will be able to right click properly.

A gank is not always successful,think about it.I've seen countless s initiate on people with ,using ,then the enemy would just teleport away from him( treatment).
