This is my grand-dad's life in a nutshell (kinda).

Born of royal decent (we used to own this city), all land and possessions taken away by the government after my country's independence, granddad literally worked the fields to keep the family together. My grandmother suffered from complete lower body paralysis since a very you age ( 5 years after their marriage if i'm not wrong). He eventually got a government job by the virtue of his excellent education, rose through the ranks and ended up as the boss of the people who wrongfully took away what was his.It didn't go well for those people after that. He passed away last week.He was 98 from an heart attack. His last words were,"I see the fields already." in reference to the gardens where he and my grandmother met for the first time.RIP grand-daddy.

This the empire that my families were a part of :)

Edit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maratha_Empire#The_Peshwa_era I can directly trace my lineage to the Deshmukhs (my surname is deshmukh :P)

we have tried very hard to keep our lineage secret. But the persistence is there.

We are invariably spotted out when Diya bhabhi ( the mother of the maharaja of jaipur and our relative to be exact) personally comes to receive us at the rambagh palace (a luxury hotel owned and operated by Taj) and shoves us into her entourage of vehicles and then proceeds to scold us for not staying with them.We were literally kidnapped and taken to the city palace ;_;.

But you know, there are a certain perks to being anonymous.Like my relatives are so fed up of their up-tight lives.Of the 7 days that we stayed there (we had planned 3), every day i played PS3 and doto with the maharaja of jaipur (he is 17).LOL fun times. He couldn't go out much because he used to be instantly spotted out and mobbed.

no actually pretty nice people. They take a village each year and then they pump money into that village to improve it's conditions.
