Hey everyone! We're happy to announce our fourth tournament dedicated to the most popular custom game, DotA Auto Chess! More information on prizes, rules and how the tournament will be played can be found below.

Registrations are open starting from today (April 12th) and will end Sunday (April 14th).
The tournament will begin Sunday (April 14th) at 18:00 CEST / 09:00 PDT.

What Can We Win?

The best (3) players will win one of the following prizes:
  1. 25€ (EUR) Steam Wallet
  2. 15€ (EUR) Steam Wallet
  3. 10€ (EUR) Steam Wallet

How Can We Participate?

  1. You must have a DOTAFire account to be able to register and play. Don't have an account? You can create one here.

  2. Reply to this thread with your Steam Profile URL (example: https://steamcommunity.com/id/gabelogannewell)

  3. That's it! The last thing you have to do is join our Discord server. The sooner you join the Discord server, the better!
Important Note: Make sure to type !tournament in the #autochess channel in Discord to receive reminders about the tournament!

How Will The Tournament Be Played?

The minimum number of players for the tournament to take place is 32 and the maximum is 64. Since DotA Auto Chess matches require 8 players, we have prepared different approaches to the tournament depending on the number of players that have signed up. The most optimal number of players for the tournament is divisors of 8. The tournament will take about 2 - 3 hours depending on the length of the matches. Below you can find how the tournament will work based on 32 and 64 players.

For 32 players:
  • There will be (4) matches with (8) players each. The top (2) players from each match will advance to the final match.

  • The top (3) players from the final match will win the prizes.
For 64 players:
  • There will be (8) matches with (8) players each. The top (1) player from each match will advance to the final match.

  • The top (3) players from the final match will win the prizes.
Once the registrations are closed, the matches will be posted in this thread and announced in our Discord server. The player who will create the lobby and have the responsibility to invite the rest of the players will be marked with "H" from Host.

Special chats will be created inside the DotA 2 client for every match which players can join to easily find and invite each other. (DOTAFire Chess Match 1, Match 2, etc.)

Players will have 20 minutes from the time of the matches to join the lobbies and start. If any players do not make it in time, the match will begin with the players that have shown up. Winners must take a screenshot of the victory.

Notifications will be sent via Discord (in the #autochess channel to all the players marked with the "Tournament" role) to remind players about the tournament. Make sure to sign up only if you're certain you are going to show up and play.

The fastest way to ask questions or report issues is to contact Hades4u via our Discord server.
