So when you are offlaning as a hero that doesn't have invis like gondor, you know they are pulling and the creep wave is going under their tower should you try and go into the jungle and disrupt the pull or stay in lane and try to get xp? Also what do you do when the wave is under or close to their tower, do you just stand by yours and try not to get killed by being out of position or do you try to get up some xp?

I am by no means a pr0 Offlaner, so these are just my opinions, but...

That depends on whether you can contest the pull or not, thankfully Pull times are fixed, so you can see them coming. It's easy for an experienced Clockwerk player to contest them, simply by standing back and Rocket Flareing the Small Camp, so that the Netural Creeps don't spawn there. With Offlaners with Summons, e.g. Beastmaster and his invisible Hawk, you can try using the Summons to Contest Pulls or Block the Camp. Other than that, if you coordinate with your Team, you could always try to Smoke of Deceit on your Supports and have them Rotate in for a Gank, perhaps get your Mid involved too.

Another thing to consider is, if the Supports have gone into the Jungle, can you kill the Carry, 1 vs. 1 before the Supports get back? This is harder to pull off, but certainly more valuable than contesting a Pull.

This depends on whether you have a decent Escape or not, it's pretty easy to shrug of a Slow and Timberchain out if you don't let them get too close, or you can try to hide in the Trees and try to sap EXP unnoticed (just make sure you can't be cornered easily). If you're not sure if you can get away when they go for you, just keep your distance. It's better to avoid an unnecessary Death than lose a Creep Wave's worth of EXP.

The answer is...it depends. You have to judge the matchup between your solo hero and the enemy heroes in the lane opposing you. If they're running a ridiculously strong trilane (say, Sven, Lion and Disruptor) then you have to be generally very passive, stay near your tower and just try to soak xp whenever you can. You'd have to be pretty careful about trying to disrupt their pulls too - maybe you could hide within xp leach range.

On the other hand, if they're running a reasonably weak dual lane, and you have a solo hero that can escape them easily, you can afford to be more aggressive, disrupt/steal pulls, compete for hits more.

There are other ways too - for example if you were playing Clockwerk and you know they're pulling, you can drop rockets on them to steal the farm safely from distance.

EDIT: just saw your post Xyrus :)

If your supports did their job and bought an obvs for you, just pop one down in their jungle and decide for yourself. At any point just ask yourself if you will die. THINK, then act!

For example, sometimes in their lane only 1/3 heroes has a reliable initiation that can catch you at 600 range. Just stay away from that hero and you're good to go.
