besides that, he either needs to be able to sacrifice off life to stomp instantly(this would go along with his shard) or get his mana back when his stomp doesn't complete.

If you go with sacrifice of life to instantly stomp then make the aoe twice as large with half the effect or twice as small with double the effect and call it something different.

You want to claim it's an identity thing and he's some kind of weird mid in a tri-lane expirament?

Actually, here's a different idea.

Instead of shard reducing the cooldown of stomp. How about it just puts the collective amount of damage into ET's stomp, and removes it all from the spirit?

that way ET can do a back out stomp with shard, shadow amulet and blink dagger when he plays as a support.
