If you cast rod of atos on yourself then you are immobilized but the net blocks X amount of weapon attacks with a threshold of damage on each attack and has full damage returned with blade mail use, even what is blocked.

One quick reply follow up thought to this....

Everything is starting to come together and make sense in regard to "why" something like the prior feels necessary in the game, and in particular.... why it feels necessary in the game NOW!

See, agility has not always enhanced movement speed.... but now that it does enhance movement speed, it actually signals a deep problem with block from the shield of which can only be addressed in a deeper manner.

The way that the shield now must function because of movement speed enhancement from agility is in the following functional adjustment explained in the stat description like so:

50% chance to block 20 damage on melee heroes and ranged heroes who are neither moving or attacking.

And then it is just my opinion but most likely the 9 damage block should just simply be removed or the tower armor provision reduced if that is what is making shield complex as it is...

See, agility heroes are getting attack speed and movement speed bonus from agility. Yes, this affects all heroes but not playing to your stat strength can be quite foolish and team irrelevant. This generally shows that agility heroes are playing in a style that is functionally different at its core, particularly from intelligence heroes.

The axiom of reasoning can be expressed like this...

If agility heroes get armor and strength heroes get magic resistance as defensive percentage reductions then why don't intelligence heroes get a combination of physical and magic damage block per their stat? Even at a smaller then proportioned increment because it is split. Because there's suppose to be character to the game?

Ok, so now fix block on the shield then if your choice was to have character for the intel class..

Fix the item or fix the class

You can't not have your cake and not eat it too....

I'll try and replicate this and see if it's still happening.

The idea or concept is that stationary = defense form

This is represented by towers providing armor but towers are not squishy, intel and agility heroes are.

Therefor their proper defense style is in the fashion of block.

The real truth to this however may not be that intel deserve a natural block amount that blocks every form (even when not moving considered) but at a very low amount....

Rather, the real problem might be that intelligence doesn't reflect a raw non percentage amount of magic damage that grows with intelligence.....

You know the politcs are bad when the answer has to be one or the other....
