Finally, after starting @ 3.5k, then going up to 4.2k, then going down to 3.7k and sitting here for couple of months, my mmr is going back to 4.1k and win ratio close to 51%.

I never lose faith, i just get angry.

Always play while in a good mood, listen to some music that cheers you up and pick some anti-fun hero such as Ember Spirit or Storm Spirit.

That's how one of my friends got from 4.6k to 5.7k

the drop from 4K to 2.8K was hard and cruel >_> but now i have gotten up to like 3.2K by picking prophet and storm every game :D

I dont use cheap parlor tricks like always pick a snowballer to ascend MMR,
the system sucks, I'd rather play all 110 heroes and stay at the same MMR, rather than gain 1000 points by playing 10.

My MMR too dropped from 3.6k to 2.6k ,man supporting is hard when carries pick drow

Personally i'd like to specialize in several hand full of heroes ranging from 1-5. The further up you go on the MMR, the higher quality of the game. Personally i'd like to go for a good quality game and of course for self pride.

The thing bout playing all of them is that you know everything bout every hero and thus have better output with any hero.
It also keeps things fresh.

Like i know this guy,all he plays is weaver and sniper all day long, how boring is that.

The MMR system is still hard to understand, but I too feel that if you just keep at it, you eventually rise in rank. I started off solo at a sad 2.6. I'm up to 2.9 now simply playing Captains Mode games. I play dozens of games and almost always I lose because the opponent was better, rather than a 'noob' player. Its as if the MMR system is improving with time. This is a good thing, and I'm hoping it doesn't take me a year to hit my target 4k. :(
