I mean, Ursa you can pick without Io and not be as bad a choice. Since, Tiny without Io has to snowball much harder than an Ursa to be relevent in the late game not hitting buildings.

Ursa's issue remains as ever that he is pretty kitable. That matters a little less now that he has more physical burst with the Enraged rework.

But really you do pick Ursa in an early to midgame centred line-up, because his ability to take Rosh is still crazy good. Like he can easily do it at level 6 with a Morbid Mask, which is pretty damn fast. And you just use the Aegis to get the advantage before kiting items come in.

There's not really that much reason to pick either at the moment however.

Since you just can't have enough Chaos Breaker.

I'm not really sold on comparing both heroes. Ursa and Tiny don't do the same thing.

- Ursa is a single target burst damage dealer at any point of the game. Jump a guy, and burst him down as fast as possible. That's the only thing he ever does.

- Tiny is a single target burst damage dealer from 5 to ~25-30 minutes when his nuke combo is at its strongest, and then he transitions into a right-click carry with cleave, who deals sustained DPS in teamfights.

@mods
Why is the post messed up? The original post is way below

@sanvich
Not much reason? Now that I think about it, why not? He is the same monster with a minute 15 blink as he is a minute 10 blink. Besides it eats lina and lesh pretty quickly. Only if theres no dazzle or ww around...

@hamster
Yea I know that Tiny scales better in the late game, im comparing their similiarities that they burst heroes. And I point out that Tiny scales better.

@highlord
Yea I kept that in mind, maybe im underestimating the rosh ability but what kind of lineup would benefit this? Ursa isnt a very good aegis carrier

Well WW punishes the idea of an Io pairing, which already dissuades Tiny. Both Lina and Leshrac and probably Storm Spirit and most other mids crush a solo Tiny, and a solo safe lane Tiny really hurts.

Then there's the prevelance of common offlaners being the kinds of heroes who are good at zoning other heroes out in fights, the likes of Clockwerk, Earthshaker, Tusk (The latter of whom can save the hero Ursa goes on).
rder to kite
Then there's the sheer prevelance of heroes with the abilities to help kite others, or survive burst damage (Which is part of the reason Meele cores have dropped off).

Then there's the existance of Solar Crest and Glimmer Cape - One of which makes it harder for Ursa to kill people without MKB (Which is huge on a physical burst damage hero who can't flash farm creeps), and the other makes kiting him even easier.

So really Ursa has to be a really specific pick-up in a deathballing line-up that abuses the fact you are going to get Rosh. Like, yes Ursa isn't a good aegis carrier (He's not that bad, not like Lycan), but it's still an extra life which you can abuse with his early peak.

Since you just can't have enough Chaos Breaker.

Why even compare. They do different things.

Go Ursa If You:
Want to wreck the early and mid game, and need a farm efficent carry.
Want to kill people fast.
Are against burst damage heroes (*cough**cough* techies *cough*)

Go Tiny If You:
Need to scale/lategame better.
Want to Push
Are against right clickers/mobility (*cough* *cough* Bloodseeker *cough*)

These two heroes do the same:

They have a big difference though: Ursa doesn't scale late game as good as a Tiny.

So is there any reason to pick Ursa over Tiny right now? Actually, another big difference is that Ursa can take Roshan pretty early. But I dont thnk thats quite special right now with Solar Crest being bought on every support.

It seems that Ursa is more... deathball-ish, I think.

However I would like to know the opinions of the dotafire members.

Ursa can take down roshan much earlier than Tiny. Just something to think about if Ursa gets a good lead and Tiny can't keep up

Ursa still has Enrage, and everyone buys blink and usually Black King Bar to prevent being kited. After he takes Roshan, he can just turn up at any lane (maybe not mid) and with CC and coordination, Ursa snowballs.
