Now don't get me wrong Bristle Back is great with Octarine Core but Centaur deserves a special mention.

This is the reason Core was made, for the spell steal and cool down reduction.

This goes well with all the spammability of Bristle Back, But he doesn't have a passive that deals damage, Centaur's Return works with Octarine Core, yes thats right, late game double heart a vanguard boots octarine core and either veil or radiance is nice.

So centaur's base strength at max level is 138, +80 +2 so 220 with the full build.

Now Return deals damage based apon your strength so 50% of 220 is 110 + 22 so 132 damage returned.

So if a carry with 200 attack damage started to attack you, you block 40 damage so now it is 160 now 12 armour is going to reduce the damage by around 41.9% so now they deal 92 damage so you deal MORE damage that they deal. so you are healing for around 33 hp per hit so now they deal 59 damage. so yeah that carry sure is scary.

New Hero Idea!

In a different patch maybe, but right now you probably won't be in a position where you'll get enough farm in any game.

25% spell lifesteal is really bad actually. It's nowhere close to what right-click carries can lifesteal with their damage output (which is way higher) and a Satanic.

Even on heroes who do nothing but deal spell damage, like Leshrac or Death Prophet...honestly the lifesteal is pretty insignificant. Even these heroes only buy it for the cooldown reduction essentially.

So on Centaur who is honestly a hero with a pretty low damage output...that 20-30 lifesteal on every Return proc is pretty much negligible.

(also in the calculation you forgot that Return is reduced by armor, which in turn reduces the lifesteal)

Sure, octarine gives maybe a few hundred effective HP to centaur in addition to the stats...but then just get a Heart of Tarrasque at that point.

Also don't forget that by the time you can afford a nectarine on Centaur you're in the very late game where no matter how much HP you have, the enemy carry kills you in 4-5 hits.

The only point of Octarine Core IMO is the cooldown reduction. The lifesteal is just an added perk and honestly this 25% could probably use a buff...

I even think you'll have better results with building Satanic on centaur at that point :)
