A traveler, a thief, a messenger. Mercury has been a nothing but a blot in the pantheon of gods, a footnote no one bothered to look nor skim but as the war ever grows, the gods of Olympus has become increasingly worried, sending Mercury in order to investigate, the humble messenger was given a task know the ancient's secrets or die trying. He went from kingdom after kingdom, village after village and yet no one can give him the satisfaction of truth and as days become months he knows one thing: He should give his best to fulfill his quest and join the fight and make a name for himself.

Description:

Mercury, The Godly Messenger is an agility melee hero who is capable of excellent damage using his movement speed enabling him to deal damage and run as soon as possible. Messenger's Jab is an auto attack ability that deal's Mercury's movement speed as damage making it an excellent source of damage from early to late game, this is supplemented by Rushing Might a dash ability similar to Void's Time Walk but is no target, Mercury rushes in the direction he is facing after which he gains a speed boost for a few seconds, if he collided with an enemy however he deals the bonus he should have gotten as damage to the enemy he collided with. All of these are supported by his passive The Boots of 7 Leagues in which for every second Mercury is on the move he gains additional flat movement speed bonus, this bonus has an indefinite duration and will only be removed if Mercury himself does not move in the next 3 second lastly his Ultimate makes liberal use of Rushing Might and Messenger's Jab, Infinite Mass is a point target ability Mercury rushes in the direction pointed dealing damage along his way. Fast on the fly and nimble in battle enemies must have a lot of stuns and disables to keep up with Mercury's speed.

HERO DISCUSSION

Concept
Speed is everything in Dota that's why I want a concept that is basically using speed in every facet of his abilities now Spirit Breaker already does this but I feel the need for a new speed based carry that is not a tanky initiator. Hero itself is based on the Roman god Mercury while his abilities are inspired by DC's Flash.


Gameplays


Carry:
Mercury as a carry can be a bit tricky and fun to play. With him being an agility hero he must have enough room to farm for items that maximizes damage or adds health, items like Battlefury and Vanguard are essential for him. Items that also adds more escape like Blink, Shadow Blade and Force staff are situational but recommended as anything that slows him down whether it be actual slows from items like Diffusal and abilities like Stifling Dagger can quickly negate his passive so is anything that stops him from moving completely. He is also susceptible to Silver Edge's break as it prevents him from gaining anymore movement speed for him to use.
