Vengeful Zealot

Egmont is a universal melee hero. This was my first try to create an unique hero and got an idea of some crusader like hero who seeks his justice for avenging his fallen companions. Hero who acts in gods favor by purifing opponents with his sacred flame and his flail, but in mean time gracious to other followers, even fallen).

During creation the biggest struggle was how to make that ultimate work exactly. The idea of invicible ghosts stalking opponents where they have no other choice than run was clear, but how those ghosts being created (like global ult, target area or even ult with stacks and you send them by 1). For balance reason i wanted to create those ghost slow that player can easily outrun them, thats how I realized i need some stacking slow to make opponents strugle to run when they get caught.

Flail Throw
Throw your flail in front of you. Flail fall apart into 5 explosive balls which deal damage each and apply Crippling Shrapnel for each hit. Hitting every enemy unit at least once do bonus damage.

Targeting of this skill would be similar as Rumble (LoL) ultimate
Crippling Shrapnel
Hero attacks have change to apply stack of Crippling Shrapnel to enemy heroes which slows him or her by 10% for 5 sec. Every instance of stack slow enemy hero by additional 10% of reduced speed and its duration is refreshed.

Every stack of slow is calculated as 10% slow from movement speed reduced by previous stacks. It means 10/19/27/34/41/47/52 % slow each instance

Channel up to 5 second to heal ally hero by percentage of your max healt and damaning you by 50% of healing done. Does not deal damage to you when you have 10% or less Healt. During channeling targeted hero gain bonus armor and magic resist. You can target self but healing effectivness is halved.

After short delay, for each enemy hero hit, apply 1 stack of Crippling Shrapnel and summon invicble uncontrolable ghost. Every Ghost follow their target, have movement speed 275 and attack enemy hero when near to them.

- Ghost is created even for immune hero, but they will not receive Shrapnel damage.

Ghost
Invicible ghost, cannot be targeted, slowed. Ghost is summoned near you after you cast a ultimate and hit enemy. Then ghost is uncontrolable and persistently chasing enemy hero. Hero can attack invisible enemies, but did not reveal them. Ghost have low 150 vision range.
