Poll Question:

How often do you encounter Drow Ranger in pubs (friendly or enemy)?
Sometimes
Frequently
Almost every time

Does every low-level match have someone playing Drow Ranger?

I specify low-level because that's where I'm playing right now, and I'm not sure if that is true in other levels of matchmaking. I didn't want to generalize.

Seeing the same hero being picked every game is really starting to get on my nerves, and actually, my team has started picking Drow Ranger every match because we're sick of seeing her on the other team every time we play. Now, I know from experience that a good early-mid game gank can neutralize her, but in the pubs I play in where communication is severely lacking, she can basically carry her entire team and guarantee a win if she's left to decimate the middle lane. Plus, if I see her on my team in a pub, I almost always pick Ogre Magi so that I can buff her with Bloodlust in team fights. At that point, she's almost unstoppable and can solo barracks and towers if she isn't harassed. In my opinion, that combination shows how broken she is, and though the same can be said for Ursa, it seems to me that Ursa is squishy enough early game to be countered if you're paired with a good laning partner.

The devs need to either offer a hero that can effectively counter her (if there is one, I would appreciate that information), or tweak her stats/abilities so that she's not as noob-friendly. Her slowing auto-cast, pesky silence ability, and invisibility ultimate, which makes her destructive in ganks, seriously reduce the amount of skill needed to play her well. And to my understanding, she's already been nerfed once before I began playing, and I sympathize with those who had to deal with Trueshot Aura buffing creeps as well as heroes.

A friend of mine summed up Drow Ranger concisely: "She's exceptionally good at everything, and she's better at almost every role than those who specialize in it."
That fact detracts from the strategic and team elements of DotA because it means that this hero can assume almost any role in the game (basically replacing any hero that was specifically built for that role) and can carry so effectively that everyone on your team is either solely supporting her (if she's friendly), or focusing all their firepower on her (if she's an enemy). I've noticed that those two elements homogenize gameplay in matches where she's present, which takes some of the unpredictability out of the game, and it's that unpredictability that I find so much fun.

I think I've presented some good arguments that deal with how she's diminishing the overall gameplay and game experience DotA offers, and I hope some of you in the community already realize how this hero is straining the core factors that make DotA so much fun.

Also, I apologize if something to this effect has already been posted. I haven't seen a search bar to look for another thread (if there is one, please tell me), and I'm fairly new to the forums (this is my first post).

TL;DR
Drow Ranger is in every low-level matchmaking game because she's too noob-friendly, and Ogre Magi's AS buff basically breaks her. Her abilities make her too effective as a carry since she can assume almost any role in the game. This effectiveness homogenizes DotA's team-based gameplay because it detracts from the efficacy of other heroes on her team, and her effectiveness also homogenizes DotA's overall strategic gameplay because if she's on your team, supporting her is a guaranteed win, and if she's opposing you, focusing all firepower on her is a must if you want a shot at claiming victory.

In all honesty, I would rather lose a match against Drow Ranger than win one with her on my team.

any melee carry can win her with a surprise attack
my pudge always kill her unless im too lazy to use pudge
any assassin is DR nightmare
stun stun stun
oh look, gank everywhere, and she is dead
DR is noob-friendly because noob cannot win her, if you are better than noob, DR is not a problem unless your team feed her

Invisibility ultimate?

Not sure you've read her skills correctly tbh.

Yes she's annoying but...ganking. Its all about the ganks. Now if playing against the ***** teaches you the importance of ganking mid heroes early then good, you've learned something.

I usually use Bane against her, whenever I am to gank her I use Enfeeble first (I level this skill more when against right-click heroes) because I think it has a longer range so if she was to Silence me she won't be that painful anyways.
