Sera the Guardian



Hero Introduction

Sera is a rather uncommon hero. I made her with the whole concept of an useless hero. Interpret that as "unable to do anything by her own but scary as **** in a teamfight." This hero basically works as a "damage sponge" in teamfights, redirecting most damages to her, greatly increasing his team's effectivity. In laning stage, her tremendous base damage is meant to be her harassing skill and denying power, because she is not afraid on trading hits due to her having a free tarrasque. Anyway, have a look at it!



Lore

Sera could still remember the day she lost everything, the day she lost her kingdom, her fellow knights, her king, and her son. Her entire purpose of life gone, just like that. She would feel a chill running through her body every time she closed her eyes as she remembered the warmth of that monster’s blood, the monster that destroyed everything she had.

In that one fateful day, a monster, long-thought to be extinct, came out from nowhere and suddenly attacked her kingdom. Sera and her fellow knights would then marched out to slay the monster, but the monster prove too strong to handle. The monster managed to kill every single knight and proceeded to the palace, all except Sera.

In her rugged breathing and bloodied armor, she crawled desperately to the palace, forced by her maternal instinct to protect her son, the young prince inside the palace. However, she was too late, what she saw inside the palace would then haunt her nightmares forever, the sight of her own son devoured by the monster. Raging desperately, Sera managed to slay the monster and bathed in its accursed blood, but to no meaning. Now she no longer has a meaning in life, no one to love, no one to protect.

But as she wept, she realized that all her wounds had healed, because of the blood of the monster. Realizing this newfound power, Sera would then think that it was her destiny to use this power for good. She stood back up on her feet, finding comfort in the thought that she would be capable to prevent anyone ever feeling what she feels, creating a new purpose in her life. Now the sound of her name echoes to her allies as the shelter of a mother, Sera the Guardian.

Skills

[Q] Soul Link: The Guardian links her own soul to her other allies, transferring a part of their pain to herself instead. This skill creates links to all allied heroes within radius for prolonged duration that transfers part of damage they receive into Sera. Each link is individual, and if any hero goes away from 1200 radius from Sera the link will sever, but the other links will stay in tact. All damages dealt to Sera from these links will be changed into physical damage before reduction of other heroes. Upon creating new links, old links won’t sever.

Search Radius: 900
Duration: 30 seconds
Cool down: 8 seconds

Her maternal instinct allows her to share the pains of her allies to herself.

[W] Shelter: Sera charges toward a targeted ally to shelter them from harm. While charging with 800 points movement speed, she becomes invulnerable. Once reaching the targeted point, Sera unleash her power and create a protective shelter that blocks any enemy projectiles to all allied units within it.

MP Cost: 140
Cool Down: 18/17/16/15 seconds
Shelter Duration: 3 seconds
Radius: 400

Everyone who has been on the vicinity of Sera would claim to have felt the shelter of a mother.

[] Accursed Blood: The monster’s blood that spilt when Sera slayed it grants Sera unheard vitality. This skill grants her bonus maximum HP and HP regeneration based on maximum HP, but the regeneration will go into cooldown upon taking hit. Damages taken from Soul Link links won’t trigger the cooldown.

- 100 maximum HP, 3% maximum HP as regeneration
- 200 maximum HP, 4% maximum HP as regeneration
- 300 maximum HP, 5% maximum HP as regeneration
- 400 maximum HP, 6% maximum HP as regeneration

Type: Passive
Affect: Self
Cooldown: 5/4/3/2 seconds

By the blood of the accursed extinct monster Sera now obtain boundless vitality.

[R] Ultimate Defense: The Guardian focuses all of her effort to create impenetrable defense. This skill is a channeling spell and is broken if interrupted, but Sera will not receive any physical damage while channeling this spell.

- 6 seconds maximum channel
- 8 seconds maximum channel
- 10 seconds maximum channel

Type: Channeling
Affects: Self
Pierces Spell Immunity: Yes

MP Cost: 150/200/250
Cool down: 30 seconds

Her oath materialized, no evil will be able to break through her defense.

Hey Yzreel!

These ideas are getting better and better! I can't really say much about this ability except that it is very dangerous to use Soul Link.

75% of all damage.

Imagine if it was a Sven with cleave.

That would almost mean you die instantly.

Yeah, that's the idea of that skill. If done well, he can save his allies from a **** ton of damage, but if done poorly she will die pretty quickly. That is the whole reason why her ultimate was created, so that she can use her [Q] without fear of dying (reducing a lot of damage to his team). Thing is... her ultimate is channeling, signifying that she is actually useless lol
