Ethrazai

Chimeric Magus

Ethrazai has always been obsessed with perfection, and has been considered unusually eccentric as such, even among other heretic mages. His penchant for experimentation began at a young age, starting with rodents, insects and plants before moving his way up to larger, more complex beings. He disregarded concepts like morals and the suffering of innocent beings as trifling matters to stop a genius such as his own, and he worked tirelessly to create chimeras of every shape, form and composition.

Eventually, however, his hubris got the better of him. In his overconfidence, he fell prey to one of his experiments, and he was promptly torn limb from limb. Lingering at death's doorstep, Ethrazai, in a desperate attempt at self-preservation, turned his own arts upon himself.

The final outcome was fascination, to say the least, for they went well beyond what he could have originally fathomed. Ethrazai was a new creature, one that was a mix of ancient tree and colossal beast, yet he retained his mental capacities without any negative repercussions. Ethrazai had transcended humanity.

From then on, his motivations changed. Instead of creating the perfect creature, he sought to become that which he desires instead. Drawn towards the War of the Ancients as many others before him, he considered such a notion a valuable opportunity. Not only would it serve as a testing ground for his growing capabilities, but the bizarre, unique beings that populate such a battlefield would serve as a true means to an end: becoming a flawless entity and attaining true perfection.

Although a support hero, Ethrazai is a bizarre mix of numerous beings, and as such, has strange statistics. Such a distribution allows all of his stats to be equal at level 13.
Drawn from the ancient tree, Ethrazai possesses great strength growth as well as base armor. However, he is dragged down by poor agility growth and low movement speed.
Drawn from the wild beast, Ethrazai possesses great base agility as well as an unusually low base attack time. However, his base strength is abysmal, and his base damage is on the low side.
Finally, being a mage, Ethrazai uses his mind to fuel his abilities, but being a fusion of other, less intelligent entities, all of his base intelligence, growth and attack range are negatively impacted, which will give him mana problems in the long run.

Ethrazai focuses on controlling his enemies through summons, area denial and vision manipulation in both directions. He plays best as part of as a team, for his solo-killing potential is poor.

Drawing from his acquired affinity with wildlife, Ethrazai is able to call spirit beasts to his side - albeit imbued with a personal touch.

Notes:
* The Spirit Owl is summoned at the caster's location, and is a summoned unit with the following attributes:
Level 2
Duration: 15 seconds
Health: 275/300/325/350
Armor: 0
Magic Resistance: 0%
Movement Speed [Flying]: 275/300/325/350 {With Talent: 425/450/475/500}
Vision Range [Flying]:
600/700/800/900 [Daytime]
550/600/650/700 [Nighttime]
Bounty: 45/50/55/60
Experience: 50/60/70/80
* It is possible to control multiple Spirit Owls at once when utilizing cooldown reduction / refreshing abilities.
* The leash distance means that the Spirit Owl must be within 1500 units of the place it was summoned. If it moves beyond that range, it will be automatically destroyed.
* The Spirit Owl's existence is not dependent on Ethrazai, and can be controlled even if the summoning hero is dead.

Level 20 Left Talent: The spirit owl's base movement speed is increased by 150.

After the incident that resulted in his rebirth, a failsafe is useful to have.

Notes:
* This sub-ability is immediately acquired upon learning Spirit Bomb.
* Ethrazai and summoned Spirit Owls both possess this ability.
* When Ethrazai uses Detonate, it detonates the oldest Spirit Owl, if multiple are present.
* When the Spirit Owl itself uses Detonate, it only affects the caster.
* Does not trigger any on-cast effects such as Magic Stick/Wand.
* Does not interrupt channeling of the caster.
* Although this ability does not have a cast point, there is a 0.4 second delay before the detonation occurs. The spirit owl cannot move during this delay.
W
Extraction
Creates an immobile extraction of the target enemy hero for a brief duration. Any damage the extraction takes is also taken by the original hero it is bound to. If the extraction dies, the original hero is silenced and slowed.

Instantly destroys illusions upon cast.

Cast Range: 400/600/800/1000

An adaptation from the beginning of the chimeric ritual, Ethrazai can expose one's greatest vulnerabilities – or simply rid himself of those he deems inferior.

Notes
* Instantly hits the target; has no projectile.
* The silence/slow do not pierce spell immunity, and can be removed by any dispel.
* When cast on an enemy hero, a violet-tinted copy is created adjacent to their position. The extraction remains immobile, has 0 armor/magic resistance, and is considered a hero by most spells.
* When the extraction takes damage, the original enemy hero takes the same damage, of the same damage type (and is subject to armor/magic resistance/spell immunity). This shared damage can be avoided through invulnerability or being hidden.
* The shared damage cannot be reflected, but is credited to Ethrazai if it kills the original enemy hero.
* Illusions are instantly killed on cast, similar to Glimpse. Clones are treated as heroes.
* If the extraction's HP drops to 0 before it expires, the original enemy hero instantly receives the slow/silence debuff, unless they are spell immune, invulnerable or hidden.

Level 15 Right Talent: Inflicts Break on top of the silence/slow. It can still be removed by any dispel.
* Multiple extractions can be cast on the same hero.

Tapping into his natural essence, Ethrazai can invoke the spontaneous growth of the Violent Fungus, a durable entity that spreads its toxic spores far and wide.

Notes:
* The Violent Fungus Fungus is summoned at the target location, and is a summoned ward with the following attributes:
Level 0 (Ward classification)
Duration: 5/6/7/8 seconds
Health: 6/6/6/8 (1 damage from creeps/towers/illusions, 2 from heroes)
Movement Speed: 0 (immobile)
Vision Range: 300/300 [Ground]
Bounty: 35/45/55/65
Experience: 30
* The Violent Fungus only becomes active/targetable after the summon delay, at which point the auras will take effect immediately.
* Both the damage and the slow are caused by auras that linger for 0.5 seconds.
* The aura immediately ends upon the Fungus' destruction or expiration.
* The aura's damage/slow area is visible to everyone.

Level 25 Left Talent: Violent Fungus will have 3 charges with a 30 second recharge time. Both the slow and the damage fully stack between multiple Violent Fungi.

Just as he is adept at forging new creations, the Chimeric Magus can sever the minds and bodies of others just as easily

Upgradable by Aghanim's Scepter: Increases duration by 1 second and causes a 100% chance to miss attacks for the duration.

Notes:
* Does not affect those that are already spell immune, but it cannot be dispelled once inflicted.
* Does not affect neutral creeps, nor Roshan.
* Does not affect spell effects that provide area vision naturally (such as Rocket Flare, Wave of Terror or Crystal Nova).
* Does not affect spells/effects that grant vision of specific units (such as Track, Thirst or Corrosive Haze).
* Does not affect True Sight.
* The vision reduction works on wards.
* The vision reduction and Scepter's miss effect affects all structures except for the fountain.
* All damage types are amplified by this ability.
* The damage amplification does not affect structures, nor wards
* The Scepter's miss effect can be mitigated with True Strike / Accuracy.
* The effect does not stack with itself; recasting it will refresh the duration.
