I don't think PL deserves all the stick. It's the OP synergy between PL and Kotl that is frustratingly hard to deal with. Those two heros by themselves are much easier to handle.

Random but We all know Invoker was nerfed a while back, yet does he seem slower in movement speed recently? o.o

PL still needs a nerf to his agi gain. Even alone his illusions just become too powerful.

Actually, i think that a Chaos Knight is a bit OP. I like him alot myself, but still think he is OP and should be nerfed. For me, even if he is utterly countered, but the game dragged and he got enough farm, then he still can own everything with his ultimate as long as there's someone to back him up and take a couple of hits.

Look, not everything in Dota is OP.
Heroes have weaknesses and strengths in the game; exploiting either is how you win or lose the hand respectively.

Since the topic has came to it, let's discuss Phantom Lancer.

Let's see, he can summon 10 clones of himself, (12 with Manta Style), elude detection, and a nuke that summons another copy of himself. Not to mention the 4.2 Agility which brings him into the meta.

And then in conjunction with Keeper of the Light, the lane is virtually unstoppable, right?

Wrong.

It might be hard to lane with the pair, but both are squishy. They fall relatively easy and are suspectible to ganks (especially if one of your team carries some invisibility detection)

And the biggest counter to Phantom Lancer? AoE.

Loads of it.

Especially Earthshaker.

Here's a pub Captain's Mode I played today.
Their first picks were the PL+KotL combo, and all of our picks attacked PL's superiority.

Sure, he could build a Heart of Tarrasque to cover his squishiness, but he cannot cover the fact that almost all of his illusions would shatter to the amounts of damage being output to the AoE of the teamfight.

Yeah. I had a CM game with Medusa in it. PL was pretty much useless, got no farm, and their team ended up carrying with Invoker, who couldn't keep up with AM.

So although Mr. Cancer Lancer is strong, if you counter him properly (as stated in Capacious Maxis' post), then he isn't that strong. But I think that he counts as "OP" because he's so easy to play/own with.
