You guys really shouldn't focus on winrate especially if the quality of the games are low level. If you're getting 55%+ but you're below 3k level then it's really not much else to say but that you're playing against nubs or inexperienced players.

Yea, that's why I am looking at KDA as a gauge to what heroes to play. I agree with you, win rate is irrelevant.

During the road to calibration at 1k1, I concentrated on learning how to stack/pull/ward/supportstuff etc. KDA went down because I focussed on all those things rather than killing stuff.

My winrates for each account are, in chronological account creation order:
1st - 52% 1k9mmr
2nd - 58% 1k1mmr
3rd - 62% ???mmr (not ranked yet)

Win rate is not an indicator of MMR, skill or my cholestoral level.

Valve keeps good players MMR's low intentionally otherwise they could be potentially picked up by pro teams

****ing hell, I'm fortunate that I'm not a good player then! I'd be forced to listen to dota players all day, get interviewed by dota players, get every mouse click analysed by dota pricks....err...players.

The best thing that happened to my rating was me watching my own replays, and discovering how much time I spent doing nothing without realizing it.

A LOT of carries in low mmr waste time chasing people, setting up for ganks that never work and that they shouldnt even be trying, going back to the fountain when they don't have to, etc.

Really messes up their farm

Post a couple of replays, let players review your games to see what could have gone better.

To be fair, KDA is irrelevant as well. There are lots of ways to be useful, Kills and Assists are only 2 such methods.
