Rune of Illusion

I personally think this is the MOST useless rune in game. It provides 0 ganking capabilities, barely useful at lanes, amd does not add anything to the main hero whatsoever.

The only time i was beaten by a Rune of Illusion is when smugles baited me with his nyx. So baiting is what the runes are for?

Amd most noobs just send them in to harass the enemy, which is completely inefficient.

So im asking that how do I use this rune and what heroes can use it efficiently?

Use it to last-hit? I guess it's just to amplify damage like Soul Keeper or something. It's not for confusion.

This is more of a late-game rune, but early game it can be used to refill your Bottle, gain additional attack power, or confuse the enemy(yet this requires good micro and you will waste some farm while doing it). Also, you canuse the like 45-second ward, especially when this rune is stroed in a Bottle so you activate it when you need it, like when pushing and covering jungle enntrances. And of course, if you have 0 vision around an area where enemies can be ready to ambush your team, you can send thenm to check. Better send Crystal Maiden tho.

I think this rune illusion spawn type should be changes to be similar to Manta Style or Phantasm so you can dodge spells and remove negative effects if you learned the timings.

The rune has plenty of uses, but the only heroes that really capitalize on it are illusion heroes such as Terrorblade, Naga Siren, Phantom Lancer and Chaos Knight. Otherwise, it's primary purpose is to scout out strategic advantages.

I have no idea why people underrate the illusion rune so much. It's one of the best runes honestly. Why?

- Easy mid for 75 seconds. No matter the hero you're playing, you now have almost twice the last-hitting power, a ton of harassing ability, and a ton of killing ability. While your illusions are there the enemy mid just can't come near, free farm and free denies await.

- Easy kills. Just like a double damage rune, illusions do a ton of damage.

- Easy dives. You're playing Queen of Pain and the enemy Pudge is playing the typical ***** game, sitting under his tower and looking for a hook? Well let's just tower dive him at full HP for a change. Crazy? Of course not, you have 2 illusions to tank tower hits (and hooks) for a million years. Ez kill.

- 5-minute Manta Style. So, your Spectre, Anti-Mage or Terrorblade just got an illusion rune? I think Spectre with Bottle is the best illusion rune user in the game.

So yeah, the ability to *completely zone out* the enemy lane, whether mid or sidelanes, and get kills right under their towers.

Illusion rune is OP if something, melee illusions are way too tanky. Doesn't need a buff.

Illusion Rune is not useless, they're great for situations other runes cannot help with

• Great for scouting or trigger happy players
• Send them to a lane to push or to maintain creep equilibrium
• Additional help for last hitting creeps
• Stack multiple camps with good timing
• Cancel Blink Dagger if enemy chooses to ignore illusions
• Blocking skill-shots like Meat Hook and Hookshot
• Greatly weakens Clockwerk's Battery Assault and Gyrocopter's Rocket Barrage
• Body blocking

If I'm offlaning and I happen to get the illusion rune, I send it to the enemy safelane immediately and kite the creeps until my creeps die at their t1, forcing enemy creeps to push closer to my tower

Rune of Regeneration- Beginner
Rune of Double Damage- Beginner
Bounty Rune- Intermediate
Rune of Haste- Intermediate
Rune of Invisibility- Intermediate
Rune of Illusion- Advanced

Err so many uses, scouting ahead, temporary/moving wards, blocking pulls (if offlane or they're pulling) the spawning of creep camps, free farming as said above, confusing especially if your someone such as bounty and they don't have a rune ward. get it send one to lane the other to ward and disappear to gank and they don't think your missing. so many amazing applications.
