Sniper 6.81->6.82

My biggest problem with sniper is that he makes the game less fun in all skill brackets.

Low skill/beginner: People run at him, get shot a few times, after that they think they cant kill him, so they run away, then they turn around to face him again, now they realise they are dead so they run away again. Result=sniper fed.
Teamfights, people attack move while using spells at the nearest target with little thought, they ignore the hero that is autoattacking for 10 seconds straight. They die, URMAGURD SNIPER OP.

Starting to get out of trench tier bracket: Some people here still think sniper is a good hero, so they keep picking him, not realising that they are HEAVILY hurting they OWN TEAM.
The team with sniper usually loses, the against sniper gets easy kills and can teamfight against 4 after gently brushing away the dwarf.

Higher skill: Sniper is ****, people stop picking him since they now realise he is boring and weak.
Whenever a player does pick or random sniper, often it ends up 4v5.

Well Timmi, games with Sniper can be pretty fun too...

For example if you ask me, some of my most fun experiences in DotA involve camping the mid lane with my Phantom Assassin/ Templar Assassin/ Enchantress/ Windranger/ Clockwerk/whatever, and just tower diving that Sniper for the free kill every time he shows his face. And when that tower falls you KNOW that there is absolutely no safe place in the world for that squishy dwarf anymore, that he is essentially a big ranged creep that gives you 300 gold when you farm it. Hunt him down all game and ez katka. Yes I am a Sadist but we are talking about Sniper pickers here, it's not my fault if the hero has "punch me in the face" written on his forehead.

I think Sniper is a very educational hero, he teaches you a ton about doto by playing against him, and when you actually learn WHY the hero sucks you have learned a valuable lesson. On the other hand if I see a guy in my team first picking sniper in ranked, hogging mid, and feeding 2/20 while blaming his team, I'm f***ing reporting him :)

yes i know, the trick is just to overbluff him and get into his face. i have had plenty of times when i forced a sniper completely out of lane, ofcourse many of them were stubborn and kept coming back and fed kills to my weaver/timber/QoP/templar/exetera.
but half the other time the sniper used to be on my team.......

luckily i hardly see him anymore. i think im just out of sniper territory in solo games.

playing against sniper teaches a lot of thins..rightly said...wat wat i believe...wat he best teaches in dota is positioning...its importance...utilizing fog of war...n teamwork ofcourse...i m not in skilled bracket as u guys are...n i usually dont play sniper...but i feel if he the enemy team starts the 5 man dota...theres no stoping sniper...all he needs us smone to tank for him...while he does his job...i always keep crying get sniper first...but its trench my friend and ppl just start fighting the first hero they see...n if he has a shadow blade...god save u...in trench...coz nobody buys dust..

This is the only reason why Sniper was ever viable in the trench in the first place. Blade of invulnerability OP.

No, I mean, I'm serious, if Sniper can get away with escaping with the blade of invulnerability whenever he wants, the hero is OP.

But if only the blade of invulnerability had a counter...some sort of magical powder to make this power fade away...then you would see the truth : a squishy, useless dwarf running away like a ****** with a "free 300 gold" pricetag stamped on his head. But only a select few have journeyed to the kingdom of Faeries to claim that magical substance, and they do not share their knowledge ; for its power would revolutionize the world of pubs forever, and bring forth consequences too strong to control.

Yes, I enjoyed playing him because he was annoying and easy to play and now he isn't so annoying. If you are not okay with this, it's your problem entirely, I'm not going to feel bad just because you are having a problem with that.

Personally i dont care about his balance untill he gets a rework, if they make him less annoying then thats good. If less people will play him thats good.
Untill he gets a rework he will forever be like old bloodseer, **** with (depending on current balance) very situationally OP spells.

I won't deny that on high level he is ****, mainly because I never played high-level games, but on my level he was good and nice to play when you are tired of more complicated heroes. However, I may be exagerrating since bonus dmg is still there. Gotta try him before I make my finla conclusions.

he is basically useless now in 6.82.


Sure you have 900 range but your damage is **** and your health is also ****,
later anyone with a blink or shadow blade can just rip you apart.
