I have seen him on mid a lot but not often on offlane, i felt he would be useful on offlane because even if he can't get Blink Dagger he can at least gank and can survive the hardlane, but I would knew he would get killed easily with his poor hp. So what do you think when he goes offlane?

Edit: I haven't Seen Q and A heroes thread.. sorry about that :x

He is a bit greedy but he can do it if you get some help from rotating supports or if their lane isnt that strong.

If it works out you have a really strong third core though.

I definitely want to pick puck for some reasons I was never a fan of puck mid until I tried on offlane but I already have forgotten if I played well or not. I appreciate your useful answer to my question!

Edit Any of you can share me this experiment if you think it's great at some specific game. I would love to keep playing puck on offlane, if it's great. I can't play it until my laptop is being fixed.

i play puck offlane and he is INSANELY GOOD..... if

- you get a solo safelaner
- the trilane you lane against are at least 2 melee
- no instant stuns
- you have rotating supports
- you are good at puck

he works best in a solo V solo situation.

he can do very decent in a trilane v solo situation but he requires insanely good positioning. (as with most offlaners)

the only problem is if you go up against a 2 ranged trilane or an instant stun lineup it is not fun at all

What does instant stun mean?

basicly something with no animation, like Skywrath Mage has an instant silence, as long as he is looking at you he has no animation on his silence, so that is what an instant stun is, something like Hex instead of magic missle.

oh. So something he can't phase shift.

EDIT: Doesn't setting it on auto cast block a single target spell every 6 seconds?

phase shift doesn't have an autocast, and that is the thing about instant spells, you can't dodge them.

dk has an instant stun as thier is no cast time. the animation is after the stun. not before.

skywrath is a hard counter to puck as a silence ruins him in lane and he is so squishy that he relies upon his abilities more so then other offlaners.

instant abilities cant be dodged but Void can backtrack them which is why you see such a rise in "UNIVERSE VOID" ....

when playing puck you have to constantly have your eye out for instants.
