[High Skill] Mentor willing to help

I've played video games with the same group of people for about 5 years now. We made a collective decision to quit dota, and focus on competitive hearthstone. I'm the kind of guy that can only play one game at a time, so I quit dota. After a few weeks, I just didn't connect with the game. I love card games, but what I've come to love about games is the teamplay aspect. My friends and I would play each other, and watch each others streams, but that sense of teamwork just wasn't there in HS. After a month or so, we all agreed that the game just wasn't clicking with us, so we decided to play dota again.

Hi there,

if you are still mentoring i would be strongly interested. I read the Internet back and forth on Dota 2 and watched a lot of video's on it. I started playing Dota about 2 month ago and played around 300h until now. I feel that it is hard to continue learning by reading guides and watching videos alone. Sadly all my real life friends play other games so i dont have lot of friends to play with and those i have need to be mentored by me (poor guys =).

So if you ever find the time it would be great to get some pro pointers.
I am from Europe, English is not my first language, German is but i guess my English skills should be sufficient.

Mr. Nuke: Indeed. I really thought I was done with dota. I've quit this game a handful of times, and I can't seem to stay away from it for longer than a few months. Before my thread was removed, I didn't play for probably about two months. I just played Diablo casually with my friends. It's not just the gameplay and teamwork that brought me back though. It may sound silly, but I actually missed coaching a lot as well. I love teaching new players. It's really rewarding. So coming back has a few benefits. :D

I've played dota for about ~700 hours, but my support is greatly lacking in several aspects such as stacking and pulling in lane and figuring out when to roam and when to stay in lane.

AngeloBangelo is a great mentor. Highly recommended. He taught me things about playing the support role that would have taken me forever to learn on my own. Also, he knows a hell of a lot about Lion. If you get the chance, ask him to help you :)

I thought there wouldn't be a whole lot more to learn to dota at 3-4 thousand MMR, Angelo taught me some great things like the importance of watching inventories. Now I'm sure going back into normal games with this knowledge, I will be so much better. I would recommend him to anyone I know.
Nothing you can really complain about, Angelo was upbeat and adjusted to my pace great, giving direction which led to victory in a game which was already a higher bracket than I would usually play in.

Indeed. Professional Crystal Maiden. Great rotation to counter those wards, which easily won the middle lane. Watching inventories (As well as monitoring movement) is extremely important for counter warding. Not only that, but relaying information to the rest of your team on big items can completely change your playstyle ("Hey guys, Storm has linkens" or "Ursa just finished his Vlads).

Your positioning was much better in the second game, and I think you were able to adjust your item build versus the opposing team very well. I think too many players think "I have picked Faceless Void. Regardless of the matchups, I will go Battlefury, treads, mask of madness, crit, butterfly." Especially for supports, because gold is so scarce, you need to REALLY make each item count specifically towards countering the opponents team. I noticed that you picked up Tranquils for the first game, even though you ganked rarely and the opponents had a ton of burst. Next game versus burst you pick up treads and a cloak?! WHAT A PLAYER!
