"Pick up a hobby"

Probably the best thing among all of the good advice you mention. Another advice I'd like to add is that one should keep Dota 2 under moderation. If one played too much Dota, he/she will take it for granted and will lose sight on how fun the game is. Take breaks in between games is probably the closest thing I found.

Ever had a hiatus from playing Dota? If you do, then you should know, that on that first game in a while, IT WAS FUN, win or lose. fun follows a diminishing marginal utility: it will only get less and less fun the more you play.

A hobby fills you in that "no dota" days and you will actually become productive!

HOW TO MAKE THAT HOBBY LAST:
Simple. Do it at least 1-10 minutes a day, everyday. No hobby sprung immediately on the first day. But try to NOT OVERDO IT. The 'Oh-I-already-did-lot-of-it-yesterday-I'll-pass-for-now' mentality is the number one thing you should not do. Doing a hobby for longer is fine so long as you don't fall to said mentality. Do it everyday, even for just 1 minute if you're too busy. You'll thank yourself that you do.

If you could kindly add this to your main guide, that'll be 100% appreciated. ^^

Also don't play rank in the first place.
