Zodiark, the Dark Dragon

Welcome to my probably most detailed hero yet. My last hero wasn't very good. I realised when I looked through it after posting how OP it was. So this hero will be balanced (I hope). This hero is slightly based on the FF12 (Final Fantasy XII) summon Zodiark. Zodiark is the most powerful summon in FF12. This hero is a dragon-type hero. He is also very long, but thin.

This hero is very late-game based. All of his skills except Banish Ray are much more effective lategame. He also needs items if the player wants to deal alot of damage with Giga Darkija and Darkga Breath. Gravity is also powerful as it deals alot of damage at high levels.

Ranged Dire Agility

Stats:

Health: 544
MP: 218

Armor: 3
BAT: 1.56
Range: 475
Damage: 45-56

Speed: 310

STR: +2.2
AGI: +2.9
INT: +2.0

Skills:

Q: Gravity (Nuke)
W: Darkga Breath (Passive atk modifier)
E: Banish Ray (Nuke)
R: Giga Darkija (Epic disabling annoying nuke)

[Q]: Gravity

Zodiark controls gravity, dealing massive damage to all enemies in the area.

MC: 140
CD: 21s

Cast Range: 620
Cast Duration: 0.4s
AoE: 380

Damage: 10% / 15% / 20% / 25% of max HP

Notes

My comment:
Powerful nuke that's very useful lategame. Useless earlygame. Don't level it until level 10.

[]: Darkga Breath

Adds a crit chance to Zodiark's attacks and a chance to deal splash damage. Also adds a chance to blind an enemy.

Crit: 125% / 150% / 175% / 200%
Crit Chance: 25%
Splash Area: 200
Splash Chance: 35% / 40% / 45% / 50%
Blind Chance: 15%
Blind Duration: 0.5s / 0.75s / 1s / 1.25s
Blind (Miss Chance): 30% / 40% / 50% / 60%

Notes

My comment:
A nice crit that turns him into a carry. It wont turn him into the hardest carry though. The area damage significantly boosts his farming speed and the chance to blind enemies is very useful in 1v1 fights.

[E]: Banish Ray

Creates a powerful ray that deals damage in a conical area in front of Zodiark. Has a chance to root an enemy.

MC: 90
CD: 14

Damage: 130 / 200 / 270 / 340
Root chance: 15% / 15% / 20% / 20%
Root Duration: 1s / 1.5s / 2s / 2.5s

Cast duration: 0.9
Lenght: 780
Width (at the end of the cone): 420
Width (at Zodiark's head): 20

Notes

My comment:
A great teamfightning skill. Used to setup Gravity.

[R]: Giga Darkija

Zodiark casts the most powerful Dark skill. The targeted area turns dark, decreasing the vision of all enemies in the area. All units in the area are slowed by 60% for 1 second.
When the slow effect ends a giant circular object appears above the area. Then 10 black-purple beams come down from the circle,  blinding all enemies and dealing damage.
Instantly after that the circle falls down on the enemies in the area, stunning enemies and explodes. The explosion is dark and slow, and hits enemies in the middle of the area first.
Deals damage based on casters AGI. The ultimate cast animation lasts 2.1 seconds.

MC: 60% of Max MP.
CD: 165/155/145

AoE: 940
Cast Range: 500 (enough to be outside the AoE)

Slow: 60%
Duration: 1s
Blind (miss chance): 30/50/70%
Blind duration: 1.75s
Vision: 300/300
Stun: 0.5s

Damage (Dark Beams): 40/60/80 Pure dmg
Damage (Circle Fall): 100/150/200 Physical dmg

Damage (Explosion):
30 Base DMG +
Lv1: Agility × 1
Lv2: Agility × 1.5
Lv3: Agility × 2
Magic dmg

Notes

My comment:
The most epic and awesome ultimate ever. Can deal massive damage in the lategame. I tried to make it look awesome and I hope that you will be able to see it in front of you altough it is alot of text. Below there is a more detailed version. There is a 1 second delay to allow Blink-Dagger users to escape, but a good team will have another initiator to prevent that.

More detailed:
1. Area turns very dark.
2. One second later a giant circular thing appears above the area. If you want to see how this circular thing looks, try this link:

3. 10 Dark beams come out of the centre of the circular thing. Similar to one of the pictures at the top in the link above.
4. The circle falls down on the ground and explodes.
5. The explosion is not red and flaming. It is very dark, and expands slowly and at the end of the animation it looks like a big, dark sphere.

I guess that's it. I hope this hero isn't overpowered altough his nukes deal massive damage. Now, the changelog no-one reads.

Changelog:
V1: Created it.
V2: Buffed Gravity and Darkga Breath.
Hero DPS and EHP Spreadsheet coming soon.

Not bad, though I think the second skill is too weak, the splash and the blind seem irrelevant, due to the blinds duration and the 20% splash chance. I'd probably put the splash as a constant effect, but set it as a low percentage of the damage dealt, like 20/21/22/23%, and have the blind proc be 20% but last for 3.25/3.5/3.75/4 seconds. You should also probably specify the aoe and cast range of his abilities, cuz that makes a huge difference especially for the first skill. I disagree with you on the skill build though, I'd probably go 4 1 4 just to maximize the nukes, his physical damage is probably lacklustre early, cuz you still farm just as fast with one point in the 2nd skill as 4 (the extra 30% damage on the crit is not that much). Also up the blind on the ultimate as well, 1.25 seconds is negligible for a blind, other than that, love the concept, love the hero, keep up the good work :D. Also what's the stun duration on the ultimate?

Thanks! The stun duration is 0.5 seconds, so it won't be too overpowered. The stun is there to cancel channeled skills. The first skill has a very small AoE, you have to have good teammates or be lucky with Banish Ray if you want to use it often. I agree that Darkga Breath could be buffed

I like the over all idea, I like seeing agi casters in action.

Feedback:

-Which spells effect spell immune targets?
-would aghs upgrade any moves?
-with the ultimate, how to the beams function? like luna's hitting randoms at intervals or all at once?

1. W and R would penetrate magic immunity.

2. Nope.

3. All of them come at the same time, targeting different areas in the AoE. (But the beams are only visual, all enemies in the AoE get hit even if no beams touch them.)
Hero DPS and EHP Spreadsheet coming soon.

Hey!

Just sayin' that 340 is quite a high base amount for an ability that also does other stuff.

Nice work.
