I was pondering 2 items that I sometimes buy, but often, I'm faced with the dilemna that they're not that powerful late game, especially Drums, as they just aren't upgradable, so I had this crazy idea. What if you could make drums, but also make an item for int carries? A double whammy of sorts. Then this idea was formed.

+ + Recipe =

3100 + 1850 + 900 = 5850

+ 10 Strength
+ 10 Agility
+ 40 Intelligence
+ 400 Health
+ 5 Damage

Passive:
Swiftness Aura: In 900 AOE, grants bonus movement and attack speed. 5% movespeed. 5 Attack speed.

Active:
Frenzy Mark: From 1200, will slow the movespeed of a target down by 60% for 4 seconds. When activated, all allies receive a bonus 10% movespeed and 20% attack speed for 4 seconds. Frenzy Mark can be cast on self to give only self bonuses without slowing self.

Mana Cost: 150, Cooldown: 12

Cannot be cast on siege creeps, buildings and wards.
Multiple casts do not stack but are refreshed.

Flavor Text: The song of a mad wizard creates only a terror of unforeseen proportions, leaving blight and bloodlust in its wake.

This item would suit the right clicker based Int carries, like Outworld Devourer, Silencer, Nature's Prophet, maybe even a semi-carry Enchantress. It would significantly increase the impact of int-right clickers, and may even allow OD and Silencer to be considered Hard Carries by most players.
And plus, people can finally make an upgrade for their drums. Or Atoses. What do you think about this?

I liked it, makes the Drums work in some Int heroes where I always hesitate to purchase it :)

Rod of Atos isnt really bad honestly. An insane range slow on a 10 seconds cooldown is really nothing to laugh at. I honestly feel it is a bit underrated. Calling it now, people, atos is the next glimmer in 6.85. Maybe a buff would do nicely. Kappa

Alright now moving on the idea. Who buy drums on OD? Or NP? Silencer even? Correct me if im wrong on those. Still, this item isnt any much better for agi/str carries. I certainly wont buy atos on Luna, or Chaos Knight, or Lifestealer, or Dragon Knight. And I wont be buying drums on my supports. The best way to buff atos is probably to make it replace Mystic Staff for Scythe of Vyse, and a buff to make drums scale is probably make it replace 1 Ultimate Orb for Eye of Skadi and make it the best carry item in the game. And yes, now that I mentioned it, Eye of Skadi severely outclass this item in many situations.

Rod of Atos isn't bad. It just should have an upgrade.

Now, Drums on OD, NP, and Silencer. Right now no one does it. If they go for an early push item, it would be Mek. But none of those heroes are good carriers of Guardian Greaves, but Flute of Frenzy would be better with a late game item that suits them. So now if they want to fight early, they can easily go drums into Atos into flute, or if they went Atos first, they can just make the drums casually to finish Flute.

As for heroes like Luna, CK, LS, and DK, no the item is not for all of them, it's not made for every single person who wants to buy a drum, upgrade choices are not always that easy, even if you'd like it to be like Silver Edge. Some heroes would still prefer to sell the drum. However, you're having a limited look on this item. This item also suits heroes that are vulnerable to kiting or have benefits from the stats, like Ursa, Wraith King, Lifestealer, Terrorblade, Bounty Hunter, Bristleback, Troll Warlord, and Sven, perhaps not as much as Silencer and OD, but that's not to say it would not have use on those heroes.

It grants a very long ranged Atos slow that comes with the Drums active, which gives it one big edge over Skadi, it is much better for picking off heroes, and pairs nicely with Smoke of Deceit in late game. You could even use it on an enemy to disengage, or yourself to get around the map quicker. There's other factors to the game than who can brute force each other down in a battle.
