The International Teams

May 6, 2015 - Dota Team

The time has come to announce the teams that will be competing at The International and its Regional Qualifiers. We’ll be revealing this year’s teams progressively over the next couple hours. If you want to follow along as it happens, go to our announcement website.

We’re also excited to introduce a new component to The International, the Open Qualifiers. Now, you too can battle to earn a place in Seattle this summer for a chance to compete against the best teams in the world. FaceIt (Americas, Europe, Southeast Asia) and Perfect World (China) are organizing four Open tournaments (one per region) each crowning a champion that will receive an invite to their associated Regional Qualifier. Register your team by following the links at the bottom of the announcement page.

Good luck. Have fun.

9/10 teams correct.

I had Rave over Team Malaysia, based on their standing at the Dota Asia Championship.

Still got 0/50 points though. Would have hoped it'd grant 45/50 or something, rather than nothing at all.

So many many had the exact same - Rave instead of TM. Does that say Malaysia didn't deserve it...?

Team Malaysia have been consistently the best team in the SEA region for the last couple of months.

However, they only formed recently as EHOME.MY and in actual tournament showings, have done very little.

Still, I think it was the Mushi/Ohaiyo factor, and that they were basically Team Orange from past TI.

Virtus.Pro is the former ASUS.Polar (VP.Polar) roster, and they are a very, very good team. Easily the 2nd best team in the CIS region, after Empire.

No other team deserved a place above them that didn't already secure an invite.

Really? I'm sad. I really love VP, I think they performed very well. Any team you would replace them for?

I really think their team-play has been consistent and strong, and although their individual skill isn't Secret-level yet, they have really good potential.
